IN AID OF THE MASONIC GIRLS' SCHOOL . To the Editor of the " Freemason . " Dear Sir and Brother , Difficulties often arise at ceremonies of Conse = cration of Lodges or chapters , through inability to procure suitable music and words . As we are about consecrating another new chapter in
this province , it has devolved upon me to arrange for the services , and Ex . Comp . William S . Bambridge , Mus . Bac , Professor of Music at Marlborough College , and Prov . G . Org . Wilts , has kindly composed new chorales , & c , for unison singing , with organ or harmonium accompaniment , for the occasion , together with two new chorales for the opening and closing services at lodges .
A bright idea has occurred to me that two good things may be readily accomplished at the same time . 1 . To assist my Bro . Prov . G . Sees ., and Prov . G . S . E . ' s , and others who have to undertake arrangements for like ceremonials , by enabling them to obtain a complete set of easy and charming music and words for such services ; and also lodges to procure suitable chorales for use in opening
and closing their lodges . 2 . To benefit the above excellent Institution . But 1 wish , in making this scheme public , for it to be clearly and perfectly understood , that there is no private end to be gained or served thereby , The scheme is simply this : —To offer to any lodge or chapter 50 lithographed copies of the above music and
words for one guinea . The amount to be remitted Ex . Comp . William Mann , Solicitor , Trowbridge , Wilts , who will forward an acknowledgment , and . Jhe copies will be dispatched in due course . The outlay to any lodge , or chapter , or brother will be very small , whilst they will have the convenience of a sufficient supply of copies for use . The advantage ( pecuniary ) will be—As the cost of the " 50
copies wdl be very nominal , the whole of the substantial difference between the actual cost and each guinea will be handed to the New Chapter of Concord , No . 632 , Trowbridge , and placed upon the list of Ex . Comp . William Mann , who is the Steward representing the Province of Wilts for this Institution . The applications for copies should be made fortlvtsi'h , as it is not intended to keep the matter open over the coming School Festival , when Comp , Mann ' s list will be
