'sc ' hair / ro tem ., anel performed the ceremony in a epiiet , unostentatious , and very satisfactory manner , though labouring under rather severe indisposition , which necessitated this highlyrespected brother quitting the lodge immediately after the ceremony . lodge by virtue to the F'irst Degree , when a notice of motion was given b y Bro . Thomas Elliott , P . Bradshaw here dilated upon the long Alasonic service tbat Bro . Jones had passed , his quiet , unobtrusive manner , bis extreme willingness to serve a brother at all times , and bis genial and kindly disposition . Bro . Bradshaw also dwelt upon thc great honour that had befallen Bro . Jones in being elected Prov . Grand Treasurer of the province , a far greater honour , in his ( Bro .

Bradshaw s ) opinion , than any other appointment of Provincial Grand Lodge , as it was a unanimous choice of brethren , not only in bis particular lodge or neighbouring lodges , but throughout the province , and showed thc mark of esteem in which the brother is held by his brethren . Bro . Bradshaw concluded by heartily congratulating the St . David ' s Lodge on their possessing amongst their members one so highly esteemed as Bro . Jones , and asked all present to

drink his health in abumper . Bro . Jones , in reply , said he felt with his new honour very much like an actor who made his first appearance on the stage , and expressed bis sincere thanks to all those brethren and friends who had spent both time and money in assisting bis candidature . by thc management of the house in the usual and satisfactory manner . Tea over , the brethren were summoned again to business , and a candidate having been' duly balloted for , and approved of , was initiated into the mysteries and privileges of ancient Freemasonry by Bro . AL , gave a reading from one of the poets , and in doing so displayed a very great amount of ability in elocution . The toast of "The Visiting Brethren" was very enthusiastically proposed by Bro . VV ., and responded to by all tbe visiting brethren in turn , all expressing the delight they bad had in visiting this very homely lodge , and expressing a hope that it might have a prosperous and happy future .
