We hope to give a report of the proceedings in our next . At a meeting held at Twickenham on Wednesday last it was resolved that steps should be taken towards

giving the Prince and Princess of Wales a loyal and hearty reception on the occasion of their approaching visit to the Police Orphanage , and a committee was appointed to carry out the necessary arrangements . A banquet is to be given in Paris next Wednesday to celebrate the nomination of AL Grisel , an engine driver , to the Legion of Honour .

SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO A LIVERPOOL BROTHER . —A short time ago , Bro . Lewis Peake , of the Stanley Park Hotel , Walton-lane , Liverpool , who is well-known and highly respected in Alasonic circles in that city , was thrown out of a vehicle in South John-street and seriously injured . It appears that one of the reins broke , and the horse taking frigiit came into collision with a lorry . 'The trap was

broken and Bro . Peake was thrown out , alighting upon his head . His injuries are of a serious character , and he was attended at the Northern Hospital by Dr . Hamilton and Dr . Orr . He suffered from concussion of the brain and from contusion upon several parts of the body , but fortunately there was no fracture of the skull . A great number of gentlemen made inquiries at the hospital as to his

condition , some of them coming from Alanchester , to which city the news of the accident had been sent to his friends by telegraph . For some years past Bro . Peake has taken a deep interest in the Athletic Festival and Annual Picnic of the Dock Board employes to Krowsley Park , on the bank holiday in August , officiating as Honorary Secretary to the Committee of Alanagement , by whom his services were always highly esteemed . Bro . Peake is now progressing

SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO A LIVERPOOL BROTHER . —A short time ago , Bro . Lewis Peake , of the Stanley Park Hotel , Walton-lane , Liverpool , who is well-known and highly respected in Alasonic circles in that city , was thrown out of a vehicle in South John-street and seriously injured . It appears that one of the reins broke , and the horse taking frigiit came into collision with a lorry . 'The trap was

broken and Bro . Peake was thrown out , alighting upon his head . His injuries are of a serious character , and he was attended at the Northern Hospital by Dr . Hamilton and Dr . Orr . He suffered from concussion of the brain and from contusion upon several parts of the body , but fortunately there was no fracture of the skull . A great number of gentlemen made inquiries at the hospital as to his

condition , some of them coming from Alanchester , to which city the news of the accident had been sent to his friends by telegraph . For some years past Bro . Peake has taken a deep interest in the Athletic Festival and Annual Picnic of the Dock Board employes to Krowsley Park , on the bank holiday in August , officiating as Honorary Secretary to the Committee of Alanagement , by whom his services were always highly esteemed .
