K . Soutar , the ballot in this case being likewise unanimous . Bro . II . P . Kranshaar , a candidate for the Second Degree , was passed by the W . M ., after wbich Bro . Committee , occasioned by the death of the late Bro . Henry Cox . On the motion of the W . M ., asumof ten guineas was voted tothe list of Bro . C . Wellard , P . M ., as Steward , representing the lodge ot Asaph at the ensuing Masonic Charity Festivals . Letters from several brethren regretting their inability to attend were then read by Bro . Secretary , as also one from the Portsmouth Masonic Club , which
jovial body invited any members of the Lodge of Asaph , who might be professionally engaged at the forthcoming review , to make themselves at home , affording them the privilege of honorary membership during their stay . This concluding the business lodge was closed in due form . A party of Past Masters subsequently paid Mons . In the course of the pleasant after-dinner proreedings the W . M ., in a happy speech , presented one of the principal officers with an appropriate testimonial as some slight recognition of successful services in a sphere whicli he has long occupied with admirable self-devotion and success . The gift was acknowledged by the " Dramatic " officer in a manner whicli showed he fully appreciated the thoughtful kindness of his brethren .

Myers , although an old Mason and a Preceptor , had been a long time before he would work the Fifteen Sections , feeling that until hc was perfectly acquainted with the whole of the answers he would not put the questions . The minutes of . the last regular meeting having been regularly confirmed , Bro . VVorrell was raised to the rank of a Master Mason in a very impressive manner , and Bros . Freeman , Gaynor , Rumball , Gaudin , and Sutton were passed to the degree of F . C . The next business was to initiate Mr . J . Francom , who had bcen previously balloted forinto thc secrets and mysteries of the Order , and this

eminently valuable services as Honorary Secretary of the West Lancashire Masonic Educational Institution for nearl y ten years ; and he ( the VV . M . ) warmly advocated the claims which the proposed testimonial had upon the liberal support of all the brethren . Labour being concluded , about sixty members and visitors adjourned to the banqueting-room , where an excellent dinner was served .
In the course of the pleasant after-dinner proreedings the W . M ., in a happy speech , presented one of the principal officers with an appropriate testimonial as some slight recognition of successful services in a sphere whicli he has long occupied with admirable self-devotion and success . The gift was acknowledged by the " Dramatic " officer in a manner whicli showed he fully appreciated the thoughtful kindness of his brethren .

Myers , although an old Mason and a Preceptor , had been a long time before he would work the Fifteen Sections , feeling that until hc was perfectly acquainted with the whole of the answers he would not put the questions . Bro . Barnes thought Bro .
Myers was to be commended for his hi gh spirit , and that brethren might profit by his example . In reply to a vote of thanks to Bros . S . VV . and J . VV ., Bros .
