Cummings , Barker , and R . T . West also acknowledged the toast , bearing testimony of the excellent working and the welcome the visitors had received . Bro . Frank Hughes said that he had visited the lodge on many occasions , but when he was asked by the W . M . to come that evening he felt the command must be obeyed , because the VV . M . was one of his dearest friends . It was a great pleasure to see the London and he had been l

VV . M . installed in a lodge ucky in reaching the chair in so short a time . It often happened that it too 12 years to get into the chair . The VV . M . had attained his exalted position through sheer merit , and he wished him in Masonry everything he could wish himself . The VV . M . gave "The Past Masters and Treasurer and Secretary . " He said the name of Bro . J . Pearson and the Urban Lodge would never be forgotten , and he coupled the names of Bros . Pearson , Haycock , and Tickle with the toast .

Bro . Pearson responded . He said that words had fallen from Bro . Fairchild that evening which took him back years ago , and he referred in feeling terms to many who had gone over to the great majority . He then found himself the " father " of the lodge , which he did with much regret , as so many had gone never to return . He had never seen the working better carried out than that night , and he wished the VV . M . every haooiness and prosperity during his term of office .

Bros . Haycock and Tickle also acknowledged the toast in very appropriate terms . In proposing "The Officers , " the W . M . stated that time did not permit him to do it justice , and he associated with the toast the name of the S . W ., Bro . P . B . Hollick . In response , Bro . Hollick observed that he and his colleagues would do their utmost to assist the W . M . A very grand evening was brought to a close with the Tyler ' s toast . An excellent entertainment was carried out under the able direction of Bro . Charles

E . Tinney , P . M . 1319 , in which Miss Teresa Blamy , Miss Minnie Chamberlain , I Miss Lilly Von Kornatzki , Miss Nettie Atkinson , and Bro . Wm . Davies particularly distinguished themselves . The proceedings throughout reflected great credit on the W . M . and the executive .
