to the Past Masters , vvho had been such a support to him during the past year . There had not been the slightest appearance of discord and , that being the case , he would be wrong if he laid down the reins without thanking all . They had supported him nobly , and he had done his best to deserve their support . He also warmly thanked the officers , singling out for special commendation Bros . Trevor , D . C , and Tom Atkinson , the Secretary . The last-named brother

During the past four years that lod ge had sent up to our great Institutions a total of 420 guineas , which all must admit was a noble

result . He never pressed for contributions , believing that all Masonic Charity should be voluntary , and the result had shown the wisdom of that course . He earnestly appealed for future support , and said his position as their Charity member had always been a proud and happy one . On the motion of Bro . Dr . Symth , seconded by Bro . Tudor Trevor , Bro . Watson vvas unanimously re-elected Charity member

for the ensuing year . Bros . Trevor and Fretwell , S . W ., were unanimously elected to represent the lodge on the local Charity Committee . The VV . M ., Bro . Charles Middleton , then , on behalf of the brethren of the lodge , presented to Bro . Watson a handsome gold Past Master ' s

to the Past Masters , vvho had been such a support to him during the past year . The last-named brother

had been exceedingly active and zealous , and his duties had been performed in a way that vvas beyond all praise . He had thought no labour too great to carry out his vvork in a satisfactory manner , and the Iodge had been the gainer thereby . Bro . Trevor , too , had been a tower of strength .
