The Prize of One Guinea has been awarded to Bro . Whitehouse , 24 , Cornwall Road , Stroud Green , N ., for a beautifully engraved plate of a card of admittance to a Masonic Festival held at Freemasons' Hall in 1813 , in honour of ( he Earl of Moira , on the occasion of his departure as Governor-General of India . This distinguished brother was Acting Grand Master from 1 790 lo 1812 , and was also Grand Master of Scotland in 1806 . At the banquet referred to no IJSS than six membjrs of Ihe Royal Family were present : — the Dukes of Sussex , York , Clarence , Kent ,

Cumberland , and Gloucester , and upwards of 500 brethren . The , Earl of Moira was a distinguished statesman as well as a Freemason . He was afterwards created Marquess of Hastings .
