is not new to official Masonic life , having been elected for many years in succession Grand Treasurer , in which capacity he has exhibited so much zeal and ability that his friends
had little difficulty , when the office of Grand Secretary became vacant by the retirement of the veteran Bro . David Murray Lyon , in securing his election by a large majority . Bro .
Reed comes into office at a time of unexampled prosperity in the history of the Grand Lodge , and in this respect is much more fortunate than his immediate predecessor . We feel as . ured that und . r Bro . Reed's regime tlu . t prosperity will be continued .
