Boyd perhaps may be estimated as the "Facile Princeps " of all English Eoyal Arch Working . He Avas ever ready to communicate his
"light , " which Avas great , to those who sought for instruction and information * and he was most emphatically a "Bright Mason . " Commander Scott , not perhaps much known , was a zealous Masonic Student , one of that little band who appreciate Masonic Literature , and welcome Masonic research . We wish
we had more like him . A ^ e Lave yet , we fear , to learn a good deal and advance much as regards the bidk of our order , before Ave realize that there is something more artistic than a "Menu , " something more inteUectual V the "Knife and Fork Degree . " It is sad to tLink even to-day , what an « P-hill struggle in this , as in all Masonic jurisdictions , the kind provider of good Masonic Literature Las to go through and overcome .
Too many , alas , weary Avith the struggle , « give up " and « give way , " and ° » e by one our "literary combatants" leave us for more congenial pursuits , » ° » paying avocations .
