Richardson , the etymologist , and author of the " Dictionary of the English Language , " and front Benjamin Heath Malkin , Master of King Edward ' s Grammar School , Bury St . Edmunds . In 1826 , Bro . Kemble entered at Trinity College , Cambridge , and there graduated B . A . and M . A . After leaving college , BrOv Kemble travelled through Germany , and p > erfooted his knowledge of the Teutonic languages . ^ works bear but a small proportion to the number of his contributions to history , antiquities , philology , and general literature . He was well versed in classical and Spanish learning , also . For many years Bro . Kemble was editor of the British

and Foreign Quarterly \ Review . At the time of his decease , he held the office of Examiner of Plays under the Lord Chamberlain . Among the most important of Bro . Kemble ' s works are the u Codex Diplomaticus Mvx Saxonici , "—• " The Anglo-Saxon Charters , ''— - " The Anglo-Saxon Poetry of the Yercelli , '— " The Dialogues of Solomon and Saturnus , "— -and u The History of the English Commonwealth till the Period of the Norman Conquest . " Bro . Kemble wrote in German an able pamphlet , entitled " Hammi-Tafel . " Our deceased Brother was for many years a member of the Watford Lodge .

BRO . NORRIS . We regret to have to announce the death of Bro . Norris , of the Lodge of Emulation ( No , 21 ) , in which he was initiated in 1820 . Bro . Norris passed through all the offices in Freemasonry ; was a P . G . D .

The Editor requests that all communications may be sent to him , at 74-5 , Great Queen-street , Lincoln ' s-Inn-fields , London , W . C ., by the 20 th of each month , at latest , to insure their insertion .

Covers may be had at the office , price Is . ; or the Brethren may have their Numbers bound for Is . 6 d . Those Brethren whose Subscriptions expired with the Number for December , will oblige the Publisher by forwarding a Post-office order for the present year .
