MASONIC MEMS . The Provincial Graud Lodge of Berks and Bucks is to be held in the Town Hall , Newbury , on Priday , May 15 th . The Leigh Lodge ( No . 1259 ) , is to be consecrated at the Literary Institution , Winchester-street , Pimlico , on the Sth inst ., Bro . Cottebrune , P . M ., 1035 , is to he the first Master . The musical arrangements are under the direction of Bro . Dyson .

The Grand Master having been proclaimed and saluted , The M . W . GRAND MASTER rose , and expressed his appreciation of the honour conferred upon hiin in being re-elected Grand Master for the twentieth time . He had always endeavoured to perform the high and arduous duties of the office without party spirit , and flattered himself that he had succeeded in
Avinniiig the good Avishes ancl approval of the Craft . He regretted the unavoidable absence of the D . G . M ., Lord de Grey and Ripon , who Avas detained hy his official duties , but had expressed to him ( the G . M . ) his AA'illingness to again accept the office of D . G 3 L The Earl de Grey and Ripon Avas then proclaimed . The M . AV . Gr . M . then appointed his officers as follows ;—

„ Thomas Fenn 324 The lodge having been closed in due form , the brethren proceeded in procession to the Grand Hall , Avhere a very elegant dinner was served under the immediate superintendence of Bros . Shrewsbury and Elkington , tho lessees of the Tavern , and the Grand Stewards .
On the removal of the cloth , The GRAND MASTER said he was sure that the loyalty ancl affection everybody displayed for Her Majesty throughout the country was shared by the Masonic brethren . They had sympathised with Her Majesty in her affliction , and they had rejoiced with her in the late happy events in her family , which , it
was to be hoped , had proved to her a consolation and solace in her sorrows . He called upon them to drink Avith all loyalty and affection the health of the Queen . ( Cheers . ) The GRAND MASTER AVSS sure that the next toast would be equally welcome as the last . They must all recollect the joy and rejoicing Avhich prevailed throughout the country on the
occasion of the marriage of H . R . H . the Prince of AVales . This was the first opportunity he had had of addressing a Masonic assembly since that happy event , and he had therefore great pleasure in proposing the health of the Prince and Princess of AVales and the rest of the Royal Family . ( Cheers . ) He felt sure that it Avas the sincere wish of everyone that they might
enjoy the most unalloyed happiness , and that they might long be spared to set a pattern and example to the country . ( Cheers . ) Admiral Sir Lucius Cmms , Prov . G . M . for Hampshire , had the satisfaction of proposing a toast which he was sure they Avould feel pleasure in drinking in a good old English bumper ,
