thirteen feet ; a Tyler ' s room , and a cellar . The cellarage is small , We regret not to be able to record the name of the architect . From Bombay we have to record the gratifying fact that Bro . Mirza Ali Mahome , d Shootstry , has given to the Concord Lodge , No . 1059 , the house on the banks of the Baboola Tank , until the Lodge be full }* establishedwhen it will follow the Indian practice of having

, its own hall . Bro . Mahomed Shootstry is a Mahomeclan , native of Bombay , aud holds the office of Turkish consul . A Parsee merchant of distinction is a member of the same Lodge . A Hall or Lodge room was dedicated on the 22 nd February , for the ancient Lodge of St . John , in the city of Newark , in the State of New Jersey . The Lodge dates its foundation from 1761 .

Of "Wayne Lodge , in Indiana , wo have some architectural particulars . The Hall dedicated on the 27 th December , is 52 feet by 40 feet , but oniv 1-1 feet liigh . The builclih" - is lighted with eas , well furnished , and will accommodate three hundred members .

The Grande Oriente of Brazil has its own Temple at Rio Janeiro . This was erected by a limited liability company in five pound shares , which can only bo held by Lodges or Alasons , and which receive seven per cent , interest . The metropolitan Lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grande Oriente , meet in the Temple , ancl as with Chapters of the higher degrees and other assemblies , they meet weekly . The

rent , as far as we can ascertain , is about two hundred pounds a year ; and the total cost of the building about three thousand pounds . Another Grand Lodge there , called the Grande Oriente Brazilheira , meets in a building which is leased of the Visconde de Uruguay . We perceive from our correspondence that the Lodge La Cesaree ( No . S 6 ' 0 ) iu St . Heller ' sJerseywhich meets in a jnivate room

, , , , has lately passed a resolution , that" It is highly desirable that Lodges should not be held in taverns , hotels , or private houses . " This preliminary has been followed up by the appointment of a committee to choose a site of ground for a Masonic Hall , and to obtain a plan from an architect .

At Gateshead , the ancient Lodge of Industry , No . 56 , whicli meets at the Grey Horse Inn , iu that suburb of Newcastle , has come to a like resolution , and wo hope next month to announce the initiatory measures for a Masonic Hall . As on the Newcastle side a like provision has been made , that great northern city will be emancipated from the Masonic irregularity of meeting in profane buildings .

Of the Masonic Hall at Hartlepool , we learn that is a beautiful and convenient Lodge room , properly decorated , ancl is large enough for the Masonic purposes of the town , whicli has a Lodge and Mark Lodge ,
