M . of a letter of condolence from tho Lodge to the widoAV of the late Brother Grimes , and the presentation of a silver salver , voted in acknowledgment of that talented Brother's great services , on the receipt of which Mrs . Grimes presented to Bro . AV . AV . Davis , P . M ., and Treas ., " as the AvidoAv ' s offering" the sums of five guineas each to the Girls and Boys

, Schools . A letter , couched in feeling and grateful terms , in acknowledgment of the testimonials of the esteem of the members for his late father-in-law ( Bro . Grimes ) , from Mr . F . L . Goode , Avas also road . As an interesting conclusion to this incident , Mr . Francis L . Goode , ivho had been proposed , AA-.-IS then balloted for , and initiated into Masonry . The AA . M . then resigned the chair to Bro . D . G . Potts , and Bro . Allison , presenting Bro . Vousley , AA . M . elect , he ivas installed in the chair in the presence of several P . PHIENIX LODGE ( No . 202 ) . —The monthly meeting of this Lodge was held at the Freemasons' Tavern , on Saturday , Feb . 12 th ; and after the transaction , of the regular business , the Brethren adjourned and enjoyed a most delightful musical evening , various glees and songs being given AA'ith good effect by Bros , Laivler , Tedder , Genge , Theodore Distin , AA eeks , and Sloman .
