BRO . THE REV . ISAAC URBAN COOKE , M . A . OH the Sth inst ., aged fitty-tAA'o , this lamented brother , AA'ho Avas vicar of East LulAA'orth and Coombe Keynes , Dorsetshire , departed this life . He had for some months past been afflicted with a tumour in the neck , AA'hich increasing in size , it
ivas considered desirable should bo excised . The operation AA'as most skilfully performed by an eminent surgeon in London , and all seemed proceeding very favourably for many days afterivards , AA'hen , on the Thursday previous to his decease , lockjaiv ensued , ( it is feared from exposure to tho damp Ai-cather ) , and he passed iiAA'ay . At the time of his death ho filled the office of a Past Master , and Chaplain to the Lodge of Unity , No . 542 , TOAVII Hall , Wareliam , of A \ -hfch he had been a
member for seventeen years , having in 1854 filled the chair ivith ability and zeal He AA'as ever ready , although of a retiring disposition , to perform any of the Masonic ceremonies that might 'be required , AA'hich he aliA-ays did with dignity and courtesy . He had also filled the office of Prov . Grand Chaplain . The Brethren of the Lodge of Unity deeply deplore his very sudden removal—they ivill not readily find another to supply his place . In him the JIasonic virtue of charity AA-as fully exemplified . Jlay he reap his reivard in the Grand Lodge above .
