M .: — " That the Brethren of this Lodge have ' sincere pleasure ! in expressing their thanks for the able and successful manner in which liro . Lewis Lazarus , P . M .., lias performed the duties of Secretary , and at the prosperous
position of the Lodge through his exertions , anil that the sum of Fifty Pounds be given from the Lodge Funds for a Testimonial to be presented to him ' as a token of their esteem . " A committee was appointed to consider the best means for celebrating tho" . Toppa" Centenary Festival . TEMPKHAXCK—No . 1 C 9 . —The ceremonies of consecration of a new lodge , and the installation of a Worshipful Master Designate , were admirably rehearsed in this lodge by W . Bro . James Terry , P . G . Swd . Br . and Sec . of the It . M . I ! . I ., al the Hallway Tavern , New Cross , S . E ., on Friday last , the sth inst . There was a large attendance of brethren , to whom the entire proceedings gave great satisfaction . Bro . Terrv of course presided , and W . Bros . George Bolton , P . M ., and Jackson , W . M . of the Mother Lodge , olliciated respectively as Senior and Junior Wardens . Tho consecration ceremony was not shorn of one particle of iho
customary ritual , and the musical portion ot the service was thoroughly well conducted . At its conclusion Bro . Terry fully rehearsed the installation ceremony , placing Bro . Bolton in tho chair of K . S ., and completing his excellent and arduous work of the evening by delivering , with his usual oratorical ability , the several addresses to Master , " Wardens , mid Brethren . A very cordial vote of thanks in Bro . Terry , with honorary membership , was carried , but Bro . TEMPKHAXCK—No . 1 C 9 . —The ceremonies of consecration of a new lodge , and the installation of a Worshipful Master Designate , were admirably rehearsed in this lodge by W . Bro . James Terry , P . G . Swd . Br . and Sec . of the It . M . I ! . I ., al the Hallway Tavern , New Cross , S . E ., on Friday last , the sth inst . There was a large attendance of brethren , to whom the entire proceedings gave great satisfaction . Bro . Terrv of course presided , and W . Bros . George Bolton , P . M ., and Jackson , W . M . of the Mother Lodge , olliciated respectively as Senior and Junior Wardens . Tho consecration ceremony was not shorn of one particle of iho
customary ritual , and the musical portion ot the service was thoroughly well conducted . At its conclusion Bro . Terry fully rehearsed the installation ceremony , placing Bro . Bolton in tho chair of K . S ., and completing his excellent and arduous work of the evening by delivering , with his usual oratorical ability , the several addresses to Master , " Wardens , mid Brethren . A very cordial vote of thanks in Bro . Terry , with honorary membership , was carried , but Bro . Terry , accepting with much appreciation the lirst part of the vote , preferred , as an old subscribing member of the lodge , to retain that position and the privileges attached thereto , would forfeitSeveral of the
which the acceptance of honorary membership . visitors were accepted as members , for whom W . Bro . James Stevens , P . M ., returned thanks . After the lodge was closed , a majority of the brethren " refreshed" before separating , and the health of Bro . Terry was drank Willi enthusiasm and met with most able response .
