The members of this Lodge have every reason to be proud of their meeting on the 17 th inst ., and may look back upon the event as a red-letter day for the Lodge . into the mysteries ot Masonry by Bro . E . J . AVilliams . the AV . M . ; after which the AA . M . for the ensuing year was elected , the choice of the brethren falling upon the S . AA ., Bro . J . Bromley Smith . Bro . M . S . Lareham , P . M ., was re-elected as treasurer . The Lodge being closed , the members adjourned to receive the ladies invited to
the banquet , which was served in the Pillar Hall . The usual toasts were given and responded to in a most hearty manner . rehearsed in an admirable manner , Bro . Faulkner candidate . The lodge was resumed , called " off" and "on . " and closed down with full ceremonial . One new member was elected . Bro . Blanchard was elected AA . M . for first Saturday in November . Bro . Walter Martin . P . M .. congratulated Bro . Stevens , P . M ., upon the success of THE MASONIC STAR , and begged to express the best wishes of the
brethren of the Star Lodge of Instruction for its continued prosperity and utility . Bro . Stevens thanked Bro . Martin and the brethren for their encouraging expressions of approbation and goodwill , and assured them that nothing should be wanting on his part to make THE MASONIC STAR a thoroughly useful and
interesting paper . One pound was voted to a distressed brother . Bro . AVilkinson was made an honorarj' member in consideration of his past services as acting secretary . The ceremony was musical throughout and perfect , beyond what Ave have usually found in metropolitan lodges .
