Dalhousie Lodge of Instruction , No . 860 . —This Lodge met at tho Royal Edward , Triangle , Hackney , on Tuesday , 27 th Juno . Present — Bros . Barker W . M ., Smith S . W ., Wiege J . W ., Painter S . D ., Worsley J . D ., Cambridge I . G . ; also Bros . Wallington Preceptor , Christian , Allen , Iron , Dallas , & c . Bro . Johnson having answered the nsnal questions , was initiated in a masterly manner bv

the W . M ., who has only been initiated into the Order somo six months . The first four sections of tho lecture wero worked by different brethren , and a vote of thanks were ordered to be recorded on the minntes for the able manner in which Bro . Barker had performed the duties , for the first time . Bro . Smith was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing Tuesday . Tho Lodge was then closed in due form .

St . Peter's Lodge , No . 1024 . —Tho annual festival was held on Tuesday , 20 th June , at Maldon . Tho brethren assembled in the Masonic Hall soon after 5 p . m ., and some Masonic business having been transacted , the W . M . elect , Bro . W . F . Francis , was installed as W . M . of the Lodgo for the year ensning . tho ceremony being performed by the W . Bro . F . G . Green , P . M ., P . l \ S . G . W ., Secretary .

M ., who was supported by tho wardens , officers , and about forty brethren . Tho Lodgo having been opened and tho minutes confirmed , a Board of Installed Masters was formed , and Bro . Alfred Agate was presented to tho Lodge , and

installed into the chair by Bro . W . Chailon ( of Brighton ) P . M . P . P . G . S . B . Sussex . The now W . M . then invested his officers—Bros . G . Bishopp S . W ., Hills J . W ., Rev . J . 0 . MeGarngher P . M ., P . P . G . Chaplain , E . Taylor Secretary , T . W . Thorpe I . G ., H . J . Tiigwcll Organist , H . Woodham Steward , W . Randall Tyler . After the usual

business the Lodge was closed , and tho brethren adjourned to the banqueting room , where a sumptuous repast was provided by Bros . Howes and Edwards , the proprietors of tho hotel , whose catering gave great satisfaction . Grace having been said , the W . M . gave the usual loyal aud Masouic toasts .

Alexandra Palace Lodge , No . 1541 . —We were reminded last week of tho rapid strides with which Father Time pursues his course by receiving an invitation to attend the First Anniversary of this Lod # e . It seems to ns but a few weeks back that wo heard of its consecration , and now wo havo to record that the young Lodge has already entered on its second year , and that every prospect of a

successful future lies before it . Tho Alexandra Palace Lodge was promoted by a few onorgotic brethren , whose only time of leisure was tho Saturday afternoon , and was inaugurated under what wo may certainly describo as most favourable anspices ; our worthy brother J . C . Parkinson , P . G . D ., and P . P . G . M . for Middlesex , was appointed its first W . M ., and at the first and subsequent meetings of the Lodgo

numerous propositions for initiation and joining were handed in . It afterwards transpired , however , that the clays which had beon fixed for tho meetings of the Lodge were not in accordance with the business engagements of thoso who had promised to join , and . were officially engaged on tho Palace staff . This was unfortunate , but the promoters wero men who were not to bo daunted , and tho Lodge now

has on its roll of members a larger number of subscribers than its most enthusiastic friends couldhavo anticipated , and evonthislong list would probably have been exceeded had Bro . Parkinson ' s numerous engagements allowed him to havo presided moro frequently . On Saturday last , in the absence of the W . M ., Bro . J . 0 . Parkinson , the Lodge was opened in the three degrees by the acting W . M ., and

tho chair was subseqnently occupied by Bro . J . R . Stacoy P . M ., who was supported by Bros . J . Dyte as S . W ., Palmer J . W ., E . M . Haigh S . D ., Loo J . D ., W . S . Daniel I . G . Tho business paper was a very full one , and tho proceedings commenced with the ' usual formularies , after which Mr . Morris Lewis Dight was initiated into the Order . This was followed by the ceremony of passing Bros . Stubbins ,

Fitch , Neil and Beaman , whoreceived tho benefit of tho second degree . Bro . Daniel was then raised , the ceremonies being rendered by Bro . J . R . Stacoy in a highly satisfactory manner , while the several officers acquitted themselves most creditably . Bro . Kelly King was then presented by Bro . W . C . Parsons P . M ., and a board of installed Masters was formed . Tho ceremony of installation was performed by

Bro . J . R . Stacey . After tho customary salutations , the appointment of officers was made as follows : —G . J . Palmer S . W ., E . M . Haigh J . W ., J . Lee S . D ., W . S . Daniel J . D ., Chapman I . G ., J . R . Stacey P . M . Secretary , J . Dyto Treasurer , Rowland D . C , and Speight Tyler . After tho customary addresses , which were given by Bros . Parsons and tho Installing Officer , Bro . Sir

Edward Lee was introduced , and underwent the enstomary examination previous to his being raised , which ceremony was afterwards conducted by Bro . Kelly King , and was most impressively gone through , tho musical portion boing ably sustained by Bros . William . Winn , T . Lester and W . T . Wrighton . A discussion then arose respecting tho arrangements that had been made with

tho Alexandra Palace Company as to season tickots , and a notice of motion respecting Bye Law No . 8 was handed in for consideration at tho next meeting . Tho Lodge was then closed . After tho banquet , which was very well served by Bros . Bertram and Roberts , the customary toasts were given . The W . M . presided . Ho said that so much time had been occupied by their business proceedings , and

tho serving of the banquet , that there wonld be little opportunity for speech making . Ho would therefore be very brief in any remarks he might have to make . Ho then proposed the health of Her Most Gracious Majesty tho Queen , and coupled with it Prosperity to tho Craft . This toast was followed by tho National Anthem . The W . M . then remarked that having drunk allegiance to tho Queen , he would

now give them tho health of tho Sovereign of our Order , the Most Worshipfnl tho Grand Master . We , as all loyal subjects , aro especially grateful to the Grand Architect of the Universe for having watched over him during his lato journey to India . Oar Royal Master had fully sustained tho dignity of tho Order since he had been at its head , and it must bo the wish of all that he might long live to

cement good feeling , and to sot an example to tho world . The National song and chorus , God Bless tho Prince , was then given by tho mnsical brethren . In giving tho next toast , Bro . King spoke of the groat esteem tho Pro Grand Master and the Deputy Grand Master were both held in , and to tho satisfactory way in which the affairs of Grand Lodge wore conducted by the Grand Officers . Tho toast

of "The Worshipful Master , was entrusted to Bro . Rooko P . M ., who , in a few pertinent remarks , referred to the services rendered by Bro . Kelly King . There was an old saying , that you should taste and try before yon buy , and all would agree with him that they had an opportunity of trying thoir W . M . before they had appointed him . Tho way Bro . King had acted as their Pro W . M . had given universal satisfaction , and if such could be taken as a specimeu of what they

had to expect , all must be gratified . Bro . King then rose and said : He shonld be wanting in gratitude , and certainly in courtesy , if he did not immediately reply . He was snre any little services he bad rendered hardly entitled him to such kind expressious as had been given utterance to . He had , in tho absence of the W . M ., done all he conld to keep tho Lodge together . He had filled tho chair in other Lodges , and he must say ho was a great stickler for ritual ; he relied upon his officers to carry out all the details required . His heart was in tho

Tho Alexandra Palace Lodge was promoted by a few onorgotic brethren , whose only time of leisure was tho Saturday afternoon , and was inaugurated under what wo may certainly describo as most favourable anspices ; our worthy brother J . C . Parkinson , P . G . D ., and P . P . G . M . for Middlesex , was appointed its first W . M ., and at the first and subsequent meetings of the Lodgo

numerous propositions for initiation and joining were handed in . It afterwards transpired , however , that the clays which had beon fixed for tho meetings of the Lodge were not in accordance with the business engagements of thoso who had promised to join , and . were officially engaged on tho Palace staff . This was unfortunate , but the promoters wero men who were not to bo daunted , and tho Lodge now

has on its roll of members a larger number of subscribers than its most enthusiastic friends couldhavo anticipated , and evonthislong list would probably have been exceeded had Bro . Parkinson ' s numerous engagements allowed him to havo presided moro frequently . On Saturday last , in the absence of the W . M ., Bro . J . 0 . Parkinson , the Lodge was opened in the three degrees by the acting W . M ., and

tho chair was subseqnently occupied by Bro . J . R . Stacoy P . M ., who was supported by Bros . J . Dyte as S . W ., Palmer J . W ., E . M . Haigh S . D ., Loo J . D ., W . S . Daniel I . G . Tho business paper was a very full one , and tho proceedings commenced with the ' usual formularies , after which Mr . Morris Lewis Dight was initiated into the Order . This was followed by the ceremony of passing Bros . Stubbins ,

Fitch , Neil and Beaman , whoreceived tho benefit of tho second degree . Bro . Daniel was then raised , the ceremonies being rendered by Bro . J . R . Stacoy in a highly satisfactory manner , while the several officers acquitted themselves most creditably . Bro . Kelly King was then presented by Bro . W . C . Parsons P . M ., and a board of installed Masters was formed . Tho ceremony of installation was performed by

Bro . J . R . Stacey . After tho customary salutations , the appointment of officers was made as follows : —G . J . Palmer S . W ., E . M . Haigh J . W ., J . Lee S . D ., W . S . Daniel J . D ., Chapman I . G ., J . R . Stacey P . M . Secretary , J . Dyto Treasurer , Rowland D . C , and Speight Tyler . After tho customary addresses , which were given by Bros . Parsons and tho Installing Officer , Bro . Sir

Edward Lee was introduced , and underwent the enstomary examination previous to his being raised , which ceremony was afterwards conducted by Bro . Kelly King , and was most impressively gone through , tho musical portion boing ably sustained by Bros . William . Winn , T . Lester and W . T . Wrighton . A discussion then arose respecting tho arrangements that had been made with

tho Alexandra Palace Company as to season tickots , and a notice of motion respecting Bye Law No . 8 was handed in for consideration at tho next meeting . Tho Lodge was then closed . After tho banquet , which was very well served by Bros . Bertram and Roberts , the customary toasts were given . The W . M . presided . Ho said that so much time had been occupied by their business proceedings , and

tho serving of the banquet , that there wonld be little opportunity for speech making . Ho would therefore be very brief in any remarks he might have to make . Ho then proposed the health of Her Most Gracious Majesty tho Queen , and coupled with it Prosperity to tho Craft . This toast was followed by tho National Anthem . The W . M . then remarked that having drunk allegiance to tho Queen , he would

now give them tho health of tho Sovereign of our Order , the Most Worshipfnl tho Grand Master . We , as all loyal subjects , aro especially grateful to the Grand Architect of the Universe for having watched over him during his lato journey to India . Oar Royal Master had fully sustained tho dignity of tho Order since he had been at its head , and it must bo the wish of all that he might long live to

cement good feeling , and to sot an example to tho world . The National song and chorus , God Bless tho Prince , was then given by tho mnsical brethren . In giving tho next toast , Bro . King spoke of the groat esteem tho Pro Grand Master and the Deputy Grand Master were both held in , and to tho satisfactory way in which the affairs of Grand Lodge wore conducted by the Grand Officers . Tho toast

of "The Worshipful Master , was entrusted to Bro . Rooko P . M ., who , in a few pertinent remarks , referred to the services rendered by Bro . Kelly King . There was an old saying , that you should taste and try before yon buy , and all would agree with him that they had an opportunity of trying thoir W . M . before they had appointed him . Tho way Bro . King had acted as their Pro W . M . had given universal satisfaction , and if such could be taken as a specimeu of what they

had to expect , all must be gratified . Bro . King then rose and said : He shonld be wanting in gratitude , and certainly in courtesy , if he did not immediately reply . He was snre any little services he bad rendered hardly entitled him to such kind expressious as had been given utterance to . He had , in tho absence of the W . M ., done all he conld to keep tho Lodge together . He had filled tho chair in other Lodges , and he must say ho was a great stickler for ritual ; he relied upon his officers to carry out all the details required . His heart was in tho
