THE 141 st installation meeting of this Lodge was held at the Masonic Hall , London-road , Lowestoft , on the ISfch ulfc ., when Brother Wilton was installed in the chair . The ceremony was impressively rendered by Bro . Hodgson . The Officers appointed were Bros . Russell I . P . M ., Kersey S . W ., Smith J . W ., Jeokels Secretary , Henderson Treasurer . Everitt S . D ., Freeman J . D ., Hodgson

Dir . of Cers ., Blackburne I . 6 ., Symes Tyler . After the ceremony the outgoing Worshipful Master , Bro . Russell , was presented with a P . M . 's jewel , as a token of esteem from the brethren . Bro . Rev . C . J . Martyn honoured the Lodge with his presence . The visitors

present were Bros . Binckes , Mann , Blackmore , Brooke , Roberts , Garnham , T . W . Ward , Bales , Chaston , C . Ward , Pearse , Riden , Parker , Holliday , Blunderfield , Havers . The brethren subsequently adjourned to the Suffolk Hotel to a banquet .

PALATINE LODGE , No . 97 .

AT Sunderland , on Thursday , tho 11 th nit ., Bro . Cnstopher M . Wake W . M . intimated that the invitation conveyed to the Prov . Grand Master , on the occasion of the recent Provincial Grand Lodge meeting at Gateshead , to hold the next armnal meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge in Sunderland , had been considered by Sir Hod worth

Williamson P . G . M . and accepted . The Provincial Grand Lodge would , therefore , be held at Sunderland next year , when he had no doubt the brethren would make fitting arrangements to give a becoming reception to the Lodge . The intimation was received with much satisfaction .

FIDELITY LODGE , No . 269 .

ON the 18 th ult ., about 300 members assembled in the Town Hall , Blackburn , to celebrate the entrance of this old Lodge npon the second century of its existence . Amongst those who took part in the proceedings were—Bros . Col . Le Gendre N . StarkieR . W . P . G . M ., W . Coddington , M . P ., P . P . G . W ., J . H . Sillifcoe P . G . Standard Bearer of England P . P . G . W ., John Chadwick P . G . Standard Bearer P . G .

Secretary , Rev . E . Bigoe Bagot Prov . Chaplain , and many other distinguished members of the Craft . A short history of the Lodge was read by Bro . Preston P . M ., after which the R . W . P . G . M . presented the centenary warrant to tho W . M . Bro . Openshaw . The Lodge was adjourned , and went in procession to the Parish Church , where a

special service was held , and an eloquent sermon was preached by Bro . the Rev . E . Bigoe Bagot . Ar . tho close a collection was made , in aid of tho Masonic Charities . The brethren returned in procession to the Lodge-room , when the Lodge was closed . About 80 of the brethren were entertained at a bauquet at the Old Ball Hotel .

LODGE OF FIDELITY , No . 445

THE fifty-second anuiversarv of the above Lodge was celebrated at the Pomfret Hotel , Towcester , on the 18 th nit ., and was made additionally interesting by reason of the installation of Bro . T . Oldham from the Office of Past Master to Worshipful Master . There

was a largo gathering of brethren . The installation ceremony was gone through in a most , impressive manner by Bro . Jones , who installed the Worshipful Master according to the ancient custom of the Craft . Subsequently a banquet took place .

ON the 11 th nit ., the members celebrated their Jubilee by a soiree dansante , at the Corn Exchange . The Lodge was opened in due form at seven o'clock by Bro . J . White Greasley W . M ., the

Hon . Courtenay J . Vernon P . G . C . with due ceremony . The W . M . gave a brief history of the Perseverance Lodge , and the Earl of Euston , in response to the customary salutations , addressed a few words to the brethren , advising them as to the steps which shonld be taken to raise and consolidate their Lodge . The Lodge was closed in the usual way and at nine o'clock dancing commenced .

ST . CUTHBERT'S LODGE , No . 630

ON Friday , the 19 th instant , the brethren of this Lodge celebrated the Festival of St . John , at Howden , when Bro . T . C . Turton S . W . was installed as W . M . for the ensuing year by G .
