As already known to own readers , the W . Whiteing having again signified his assent to the ancient charges and regulations the lay Brethren retired and a strong Board of

Installed Masters was formed , when Bio . Whiteing was for the second year inducted into the chair of King Solomon , as ruler of the Bradstow Lodge . The Brethren having been re-admitted the W . Elvin , said he sincerely thanked Bro .

Elvin for having installed him in so excellent a manner . He considered it a great honour , and recognised that Bro . Elvin must have been put to a great deal of inconvenience in being present . Bro . Elvin thanked W . M . and Brethren for their unanimous vote ; he did not consider it an honour for the W . M . to be installed by him ; the compliment was more on the other side—it was

folium to say that it had been an honour to instal the Master . He was , at the same time , pleased to hear the installation ceremony had given satisfaction , and wished the W . M . a prosperous year of Office . After having received the hearty good wishes of the visitors the W . Afterwards the Brethren retired to the Grand Hotel , where they were welcomed by the genial manager Bro . Arthur J . Holland in most hearty manner and conducted to the magnificent banqueting room , which presented a really beautiful appearance , the tables being decorated with choice flowers and finest of fruit . The dinner , wine , cigars , and liqueurs provided were alike a credit to the magnificent establishment , and a testimony to the ability of Brother Holland as a caterer .

After the company had clone justice to the excellent repast the W . M ., in a short but eloquent speech , gave the toast of the King and the Craft , which sentiment was most cordially received . Miss Annie Robinson sang the National Anthem in good style . The Grand Master H . R . H . the Duke of Connaught was next honoured . The W . He hoped the coming year would be even more prosperous than the last , and confidently called upon the Brethren to drink to the health of the W . M . The Brethren heartily responded .

Bro . Whiteing sincerely thanked the I . P . M . for his compliments and hearty good wishes , and also thanked the Brethren for receiving the toast in so cordial a manner .
