Mason ' s degree . Bro . Siddeley hoped that Bro . Griffin would ever remain favourably impressed with the teachings of our glorious Order , and assured him that the Stamford Lodge always welcompd most heartily true and good mot among its members . The toast was drunk very cordially . Bro . Griffin returned thanks . The beautiful and impressive ceremonies

ho had gone through would never be effaced from his mind ; the lessons taught and tho principles inculcated were of such a nature as to induce him to do all in his power for the good of Freemasonry . He had often contemplated joining the Craft , but had failed to under , stand tho process until ho met with a brother who kindly directed him . He felt sure if the principles and teachings of Freemasonry

were more known and better understood it would be to the advantage of tho Craft . Bro . Griffiu brought his very able remarks to a close by again thanking tho brethren for tho favour conferred on him . Bro . Kirk , by request of the W . M ., proposed tho health of the Visitors . It was his misfortune not to bo more intimately acquainted with them , but to each and all , in the name of tho Lodge , ho accorded

a hearty welcome . The toast was received with full honours . Bros . Simister and Woodford returned thanks , and Bro . Baker favoured the brethren with a song , after which Bro . Simister gavo a capital recitation . Bro . Neild had tho permission of the W . M . to propose a toast which ho knew would be very cordially received . Ho submitted to tho brethren the health of W . Bro . Birch , who , as one of

tho Fathers of the Lodge , had done a great deal both for it and for tho province . The toast was heartily received . Bro . Birch , in responding , intimated that he had asked , as a favour , to bo allowed to pass the evening very quietly , but he was gratified at the good feeling which prompted Bro . Neild to propose the toast , and the kindnes shown by tho brethren in its reception . He was pleased

to say that his interest in tho Craft had not abated , and he endeavoured to be at Lodge as often as possible . Ho recognised iu Bro . Neild and a few others brethren who saw tho light Masonic just about tho time ho did ; ho was glad to know his efforts had been productive of good . Bro . Woodford , by permission of the W . M ., proposed tho health of Bro . Davies , whom ho was very pleased to bo with on this occasion . Bro . Woodford had heard Bro . Davies

advises all Masons to -visit aa ranch as possible , and he had followed that advice , to his great advantage . The toast was duly honoured , and Bro . Davies expressed his thanks for tho compliment . Bro . Ne ld kindly favoured the brethren with a song , after which Bro . Kirk proposed the health of the W . M . in his accustomed genial , manner , and W . Bro . Renshaw briefly acknowledged the kind way in which it was received . In due course the Tyler ' s toast was given , and the brethren dispersed at an early hour .

Pulley would attend the approaching Festival , the amount should be added to his list of contributions . All business being ended , the Lodge was closed according to ancient form .

Simister gavo a capital recitation . Bro . Neild had tho permission of the W . M . to propose a toast which ho knew would be very cordially received . Ho submitted to tho brethren the health of W . Bro . Birch , who , as one of

tho Fathers of the Lodge , had done a great deal both for it and for tho province . The toast was heartily received . Bro . Birch , in responding , intimated that he had asked , as a favour , to bo allowed to pass the evening very quietly , but he was gratified at the good feeling which prompted Bro . Neild to propose the toast , and the kindnes shown by tho brethren in its reception . He was pleased

to say that his interest in tho Craft had not abated , and he endeavoured to be at Lodge as often as possible . Ho recognised iu Bro . Neild and a few others brethren who saw tho light Masonic just about tho time ho did ; ho was glad to know his efforts had been productive of good . Bro . Woodford , by permission of the W . M ., proposed tho health of Bro . Davies , whom ho was very pleased to bo with on this occasion . Bro . Woodford had heard Bro . Davies

advises all Masons to -visit aa ranch as possible , and he had followed that advice , to his great advantage . The toast was duly honoured , and Bro . Davies expressed his thanks for tho compliment . Bro . Ne ld kindly favoured the brethren with a song , after which Bro . Kirk proposed the health of the W . M . in his accustomed genial , manner , and W . Bro . Renshaw briefly acknowledged the kind way in which it was received . In due course the Tyler ' s toast was given , and the brethren dispersed at an early hour .
