And Whereas the brethren composing tho said Lodge have , by their Memorial , represented to us that their said Warrant hath by somo
accident been lost or destroyed , and they have therefore prayed us to grant them a W ARRANT OF CONFIRMATION . Now , know ye , that wo , being satisfied of the reasonableness of tho said request , do hereby grant our W ARRANT OF CONFIRMATION unto our right trusty and wellbeloved brethren , Thomas Osborn , Charles Miller , Richard Kendell , Richard Pinhorn , George Woodyear , George Cook jun ., William
Edmunds and others , composing the said Lodge , authorising and empowerim ? them and their successors to assemble aud hold a Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons at Cowes , in the Isle of Wight aforesaid , nnder the denomination of the Medina Lodge , at such times as to the brethren thereof may appear necessary and then and there , when dnly congregated , to make , pass anl raise Freemasons , according to
the Ancient custom of the Craft iu all ages and nations throughout the known world . And further , as the petition of the said brethren , we do appoint the said Thomas Osborn to be the Master , the said Charles Miller to bo Senior Warden , aud the said Richard Kendell to be the Junior Warden , for opening and holding tho said Lodge , and uutill such time as another Master shall be regularly elected and enstalled ,
strictly charging , that every Master who shall be elected to preside over the said Lodge shall be installed in ancient form , and according to the Laws of tho Grand Lodge , that he may thereby be fully invested with the dignities and powers of hia office , the said Lodge to be upon the General Reg ister of our Grand Lodge , No . 48 , and We do require you , Thomas Osborn , and your successors , to take

And you are in nowise to omit to send to us , or our successors Grand Master , or to General Sir John Doyle , Bart ., G . C . B ., our Deputy Grand Master , or to the Deputy Grand Master for the time being , and at least once in every year , a List of the Members of your Lodge , and the Names and Descriptions of all Masons initiated
therein , and Brethren who shall have joined the same , together with the Fees and Monies payable thereon .
