Consecration Of The Penge Lodge, No. 1815.
CONSECRATION OF THE PENGE LODGE , No . 1815 .
A considerable amount of pleasurable excitement was occasioned amongst the brethren in the pretty suburban district surrounding the Crystal Palace , on Saturday last , when another addition waf made to the roll of Grand Lodge by the consecration of Penge Lodge No . 1815 . The weather was fine—indeed almost the only summer day we have experienced this year—and a visit to this p icturesque
and sequestered spot proved a source of enjoyment to a large number of the brethren and visitors . Moreover , the event had been anticipated with mnch interest , the opening of a new Lodge having long been desired by brethren who reside in the district , and who often
found it inconvenient to be constantly running np to town to attend to their Masonic duties and pleasures . The matter was , therefore , taken up in earnest , and Bro . Robert Jackson P . M . 104 having consented to accept the position of tbe first W . M ., the petition was forwarded to Grand Lodge aud signed by the following bret hreu
