STAR IN THE EAST LODGE , No . 650 . THE first church parade in connection with the Lodgo was held on Friday , oth inst ., at Harwich , in very inclement weather . Tho Lodgo assembled at the Great Eastern Hotel , Bro . C . S . Whyatt presiding . A luncheon followed , after which the Brethren proceeded in full Masonic clothing to the church , where the divine service was hold , the sermon being preached bv Bro . the Rev . H . T . Armfield , F . S . A ., P . G . Chap . Essex . A collection was afterwards made for charity .
o o o PRINCE OF WALES LODGE , No . 671 . THE annual meeting Was held on Monday , Sth inst ., at the Masonic Hall , Llanelly , when Bro . J . Llewellyn Thomas was installed Worshipful Master , and subsequently appointed the assistant Officers for the year . There was a large gathering both at the Lodge and at the banquet afterwards , where an attractive programme was gone through . o o o
ROYAL BRUNSWICK LODGE , No . 732 . AT the installation meeting at the Royal Pavilion , Brighton , on the 11 th , Bro . W . A . Field was installed W . M . for the ensuing year . He then appointed and invested his Officers , and , on the Lodge being closed , the brethren sat down to a banquet in the banquetting room . The customary toasts were honoured , and a programme of music was sustained under the direction of Bro . Norman Eoe P . P . G . O .

lhe festival of St . John succeeded , a most sumptuous banquet being provided . Loyal and Masonic toasts followed , relieved by songs , recitations , etc . Bro . Chadwick , in responding for the Earl of Mount-Edgcumbe and the rest of the Grand Officers , said : I thank you most heartily for the kind manner in which you have received this toast . The Earl of Mount-Edgcumbe is a thoroughly
good hearty Mason , and he has the interests of the Craft at heart . 1 am indeed pleased at being present with you to-night to see my young friend , Bro . Bibby , placed in the chair . I have known him from childhood , and good as your former Masters have been , I feel sure you never had a better than your present one . His late father was a very old friend of mine , and a good Mason , and would , I am sure , had he been spared , been proud to see his son placed at the
head of his Lodge . I can also tell you something that even Bro . Bibby does not know , and that is the fact that his grandmother was present at my wedding as a guest , so I ought to know something of his family . I trust that you will have a happy and 2 > rosperous year , with plenty of work , which I feel sure will to performed in that satisfactory and creditable manner which distinguishes the Alexandra Lodge .
In responding to the toast of his health , Bro . Bibby W . M . said : For the second time in my life I find it difficult to express my feelings as I should like to do . The first occasion was the day I was married , when my relations and friends assembled to wish me God speed in my journey through life , and to-day my brethren in Masonry are here to wish me God speed in my Masonic career .
Bro . Walker has been pleased to say that I have done my work well in the various offices which I have been privileged to hold . That certainl y was my desire , and if I have satisfied the members of my Lodge , and the visitors , I am content . All my success I owe entirely to the kind attention and teaching of my oldest friend , Bro . John Parker P . M . The bretl , ren who have kindly taken office under
nre I know will do their duty , and I have no fear about the future , for on my left I have a noble army of Past Masters , who have done their work in such a manner that the name of the Alexandra Lodge is widely known as one of the best worked Lodges in Lancashire , and should I require any assistance they are ready , willing , and
capable of doing whatever they may be called upon to perform . Brethren , this is the proudest moment of my life , and if I can look back twelve months hence , and express what Bro . Walker can say to-day , that love , harmony , and thoroughly good Masonic feeling exists within this Lodge , I shall feel that my Mastership has bsen a success .

The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed , Bro . Joseph Eostern was raised by Bro . Walkden , who was assisted by Bros . Done and Midgley , the former explaining the working tools , and the latter rendering the ancient charge and traditional history , both of which were given with commendable care and precision .
Upon the motion of Bro . Hothersall , various sums were voted to charitable institutions in connection with the Craft , after which the Lodge was closed in peace' and harmony . The usual'festive board followed , when Loyal and Masonic toasts were submitted . o o o

The Lodge having been opened , Bros . Godding , Lindsay and Bradshaw were passed to the second degree . The ballot was taken and proved favouiable for Messrs . Thomas Joseph Kennedy , A . With and William Bat who were then initiated into the mysteries and privileges of ancient Freemasonry by the W . M . The ballot was
also unanimous in favour of Mr . John Goodfellow , but as he was not in attendance his initiation was postponed . Bro . Robert James Hatfield , a member of the William Shurmur Lodge , was admitted as a joining member . All Masonic business being ended the Lodge was closed in perfect harmony and adjourned until the third Thursday in February . o o o
PANTILES LODGE , No . 2200 . rilHE monthly meeting was held at the Pump Room , Tunbridge JL Wells , on the 3 rd inst . The W . M . ( Bro . C J . Gallard ) had unfortunately sustained a severe strain of the left wrist , jet rendered the initiation and passing in a most impressive manner . Expressions of sympathy and regret were made , and a speedy recovery wished for the popular W . M . Bros . Buchanan and
Adams were passed , Messrs . Dudeney and Rossenburg were initiated , end Mr . Jones elected . A sub-commitee ' s report recommending the formation of a reserve fund was adopted .
