The report of tho Charity Trustees , as submitted by the cbairimn of that body ,
Bro . G . r i . Wright P . P . J . G . W ., was of an exceptionally interesting character . It showed that tho distinguishing virtue of the Craft has , during the past year , been most cordially espoused by all the Lodges in tho Province , and that exceedingly large sums of money have been contributed to the various Charities of the Order , Especial allusion
was made to the magnificent aggregate sum ( over £ 1 , 500 ) sent up to tho Festival of the Boys' School , at which Lord Hartington presided . Bro . It may bo added that the appointment of Bro . G . T . Tho routine business of the Lodgo having beon brought to a close , tho Right Worshipful P . G . Master delivered a short address , in the

Brother Thomas Cox . The cause of charity , tho P . GK Master observed , had be ° n exceedingly well looked
after during the year ; in fact , the tone which p ; rvadel the whole of the reports presented him clearly showed that their Order was not only being actively carried on in Derbyshire , but that the brethren were mindful of its highest aud noblest principles . Ho congratulated thorn all upon the results of thoir labours , and ho would
in particular , if they would allow him , congratulate their good brother Porcy Wallis upon the splendid sums he had , not only on this occasion , but from time to time , been able by his zeal and fidelity to secure for their noble Masonic Institutions . Brother Wallis did his work with such thoroughness that when he sought
for subscriptions he was bound to get them , and they all honoured him for hia devotion to a good cause . He regretted that his next duty was of a less pleasant character . He could not allow that occasion to pass over without saying how deep was his sense of loss at the decease of their Bro . Thomas Itocaley P . P . S . G . W ., whose
death had quickly followed that of his son , Bro . T . Horsleyjnn . Bro . Horsley was initiated into Freemasonry in the Beaureper Lodge la 1862 , and ever since that time ho had been a trne and loya ! brother amongst them , winning the approbation of all , and tho animosity of
none . After tho transaction of some further business of a formal character , tho P . G . Lodge was closed with the usual ceremonies . Subsequently a large number of the brethren dined together in the Lower Hall , and spent a pleasaut and harmonious evening .
