The ceremony was porforrqed by Bro . Bowyer , who was heartily complimented for bis able work . The newly-installed W . M . invested tho following Officers : —Bros . W . J . Miller I . P . M ., W . M ., had discharged his duties with tho same ability and courtesy that had marked his conduct in the other offices be had occupied since his connection with Prudence Lodge . The

M ., in responding , said ho unfortunately lived some fifty miles from Plymouth , but he did not allow this to prevent him from attend , ing the meetings of the Lodge whenever there was any work to be done . He took a great interest in Freemasonry , and would spare no effort to do what he conld to promote the interests and welfare of the

Lodge . The toast of the I . P . M . and Past Masters of the Lodge was proposed by the W . M ., arid acknowledged by Bro . A . Goodman / . P . M . Bro . Lord proposed the Treasurer and tho Secretary , remarking that tho duties connected with these offices were of a very onerous and raspoiu-ible character , bnt Bro . Philp , as the Treasurer , and Bro .

( -oorin . il , as the Secretary , had always shewn themselves fully equal to the discharge of their duties , and the excellent position which Lodge Prudence now occupied in the Province was largely due to the admirable manner in which these two brothers had cirried out their duties for many years past . for , and complimented on , the excellent dinner whioh they had provided . Kindly and sympathetic reference was also made to Bro . J . J . Beer J . D ., whose protracted illness has prevented him from attending the Lodge for several months . Strong hopes were

expressed that he would soon be restored to full health , and a letter was read from him expressing his great regret thafc he waa unable to be presenb at the meeting and dinner , and hia hope that the brethren wonld would spend an enjoyoblo evening .
