After some further business was transacted tho Brethren , joined by several others who were unavoidably absent from the Lodge , adjourned to the Red Lion Hotel , where a sumptuous banquet was prepared for them , and a very pleasant evening was passed .

St . David's Lodge , Bangor , No . 384 . —The annual Instal . lation Meeting of this Lodge took place ou the 21 st inst ., at tho Lodge Room , Albiou-buildings , Bangor . The Lodge was opened in due form and with solemn prayer at 2 . 30 . The minutes of the last Lodge wore read and confirmed , also the report of the Audit Committee , which shewed that the funds were iu a flourishing condition .

Tho ballot was then taken for a joining brother , which proved unanimous in his favour , after which a brother was initiated ( balloted for at the last Lodge ) , the ceremony being impressively rendered by the W . M . Bro . D . Wynn Williams . The Lodge was then opened in the second degree , and Bro . Wm . Jarvis , the W . M . elect , was obligated ; tho W . M . retired , and a Board of Iustalled Masters

was opened , after which Bro . Jarvis was inducted into the chair of K . S ., according to ancient custom , the ceremony being vory ably conducted by the I . P . M . After saluting tho W . Arrangements were also mado for holding tho annual Lodgo of Instruction banquet , about the middle of February . Bro . Taylor was olected to tho chair for the 4 th proximo , the 28 th January being reserved for a ballot meeting of the joint Yarborough and Doric Lodges' Masonio Benevolent Association . Lodge was closed in duo form , and adjourned .

On tho Lodge being resumed to the first degree , two brethren were elected members , and Bro . Evans W . M . for the ensuing week . Tho Lodge was then closed .

Hyde Park Lodge of Instruction , No . 1425 . —The usual weekly meeting was held at the Westbonrne , Craven-road , Paddington , on Monday , 20 th January . Present—Bros . Coop W . M ., Williams S . W ., Reynolds J . W ., Thompson S . D ., Nevitt J . D ., Dowsing I . G ., George Read Preceptor , George Davia Sec , and twenty other brethren . The Lodge was opened and , all formalities complied

with , Bro . Hughes presented himself as a candidate for tho third degree , was entrusted . The Lodgo opened up , aud the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . The Lodge was resumed , and tbe third , fourth and fifth sections of the aecond lecture wero worked by Bro . Read , assisted by the brethren . The Lodge was then closed in perfect harmony . We were pleased to observe tho care taken to instruct those brethren who attend this Lodge of Instruction . This is

nnquestionably , oue of the best Lodges of Instruction at the west end ; ib is strong in numbers , and the working is all that can bo desired . Tho members , besides devoting themselves to Masonic instruction , support a Masonic Benevolent Association , which , during the past year , will have subscribed iu Life Governorships upwards of 100 guineas to the several Masonic Charities . Tho members will work the Fifteen Sections at the William Preston Lodge of Instruction , at the Feathers , Upper George-street , Edgware-road , on Friday , 31 st January .

Hemming Lodge , No . 1512 , Hampton . —The January meeting of this Lodge took placo ou Thursday , the 16 th iust ., under the presidency of Bro . C . W . Fox W . M ., at the Red Lion Hotel . There was a large attendance of brethren , including Bros . John Hammond I . P . M ., Wm . Hammond P . M . and Sec , E . Hopwood P . M . and Treas ., D . B . Raw P . M . and Past Treas ., J . 0 . Jessett S . W ., T . W . Ockenden

The sitmo brother proposed that a snm of two guineas be voted to the local fund which is being raised to secure tho admission of Tom Cbapnan , tho Hampton candidate , into the Loudon

Orphan Asylum , Watford , at the election on Monday next , aud tho vote was unanimously ngreed to . Further business was transacted , and the brothren adjourned to supper . The usual Loyal and Masjnic toasts were briefly given , and the brethreu separated , but not before they had become indebted to Bro 3 . Walls , Raw , and others , for vocal contributions to the harmony of the evoning .

Parsley offered himself as a candidate for the second degree , and was entrnstcd . Tho

Lodgo was then opened up , and tho ceremony ably performed by tho W . M ., after which tho whole of the sections of the Bccotid Lecture were worked by tho brethren . On tho Lodge being resumed to the first degree , two brethren were elected members , and Bro . Evans W . M . for the ensuing week . Tho Lodge was then closed .

Hyde Park Lodge of Instruction , No . 1425 . —The usual weekly meeting was held at the Westbonrne , Craven-road , Paddington , on Monday , 20 th January . Present—Bros . Coop W . M ., Williams S . W ., Reynolds J . W ., Thompson S . D ., Nevitt J . D ., Dowsing I . G ., George Read Preceptor , George Davia Sec , and twenty other brethren . The Lodge was opened and , all formalities complied

with , Bro . Hughes presented himself as a candidate for tho third degree , was entrusted . The Lodgo opened up , aud the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . The Lodge was resumed , and tbe third , fourth and fifth sections of the aecond lecture wero worked by Bro . Read , assisted by the brethren . The Lodge was then closed in perfect harmony . We were pleased to observe tho care taken to instruct those brethren who attend this Lodge of Instruction . This is

nnquestionably , oue of the best Lodges of Instruction at the west end ; ib is strong in numbers , and the working is all that can bo desired . Tho members , besides devoting themselves to Masonic instruction , support a Masonic Benevolent Association , which , during the past year , will have subscribed iu Life Governorships upwards of 100 guineas to the several Masonic Charities . Tho members will work the Fifteen Sections at the William Preston Lodge of Instruction , at the Feathers , Upper George-street , Edgware-road , on Friday , 31 st January .

Orphan Asylum , Watford , at the election on Monday next , aud tho vote was unanimously ngreed to . Further business was transacted , and the brothren adjourned to supper . The usual Loyal and Masjnic toasts were briefly given , and the brethreu separated , but not before they had become indebted to Bro 3 . Walls , Raw , and others , for vocal contributions to the harmony of the evoning .
