IT may bo interesting for onr readers to learn what progress haa been effected within a few months in tho above Rite , which is now gathering strength in this conntvy . Tho llite itself is only of recent re-introduction in England , but was unquestionably practised in Loudon a century ago by tho immediate Masonio friends of Swedenborg himself , and ifc contains much to interest members of tho
Craft who look philosophically on Masonic Science . Past Masters and Companions of the Royal Arch will especially gather many suggestive ideas from tho very elaborate ceremonials of this Rite , which is strictly conferred on Master Masons only . Tho Ritual is much longer than that of Craft Masonry , of which it is the
complement , inasmuch as the lectures are incorporated into the ceremony , and require close attention in order that they may be appreciated . The following Lodges and Temples now exist in the United Kingdom : —1 , Emanuel , Weston-super-Mare ; 2 , Egyptian , Masonic Hall , Manchester ; 3 , St . John ' s , Baildon , Shipley , Yorkshire ; 4 ,
Swedenborg , Havant , Hants ; 5 , Edina , Edinburgh ; 6 , Liverpool , Liverpool ; 7 , Cagliostro , Keynsliam , Somerset ; and 8 , Hermes , London ; each of these Lodges being under tho government of an experienced member of tho Craft as Worshipful Master . Several other Lodges are being formed , as under dispensation , and the coming Masonic season will , no doubt , show a large increase in thoir strength .

The meeting , we learn , will be numerously and influentially attended . The resolution of tbe day will be proposed by
a Cardiff brother holding a high position , both socially and Masoni . cally , and another resolution b y a Swansea brother , of equal social and Masonic rank . Both resolutions will be carried without division , for , the pnrposo being known , none but those in sympathy with the movement will attend . This meeting will remove tho stigma from tho Masons of the Province of having received for years ° the best thought and most far-sighted care for the interests of Freemasonry in the Province without making the slightest recognition of them .
