Kent Lodge of Instruction , No . 15 . —This Lodge held it weekly meeting on Thursday , the 26 th April , at Bro . Hallows ' , Th-Chequers , Marsh-street , Walthamstow . Present—Bros . P . Hallows W . M ., Franklin S . W ., Bell J . W ., Saunders Sec , Pinder Preceptor Upward S . D ., Brand J . D ., W . G . Hallows I . G . ; also Bros . E . Brown Hunt , Field , Carter , and Groome . Easiness—The Lodge was opened and the minutes confirmed . The ceremony of initiation waa rehearsed .
Bro . Hunt candidate . Bro . Finder worked tho 1 st and 3 rd sections of the Lecture , assisted by the brethren . Bio . Langford , of Marquis of Ripon Lodge , was' unanimously elected a member ; and Bro Franklin W . M . for next Thursday evening . A vote of thanks was accorded to tho W . M . for the very able manner in which he had performed the duties of the chair . He was raised in February last , and the way in which he worked reflects tho highest credit upon him . The Lodge waa then closed .
Egyptian Lodge of Instruction , No . 27 . —This Lodge met , as usual , at the " Hercules" Tavern , Leadenhall-street , E . G ., on Thursday , the 26 th inst . There were present Bros . Wharman W . M ., Maidwell S . W ., Hollands J . W ., E . Gottheil P . M ., Chas . Atkins Acting Sec , Gramonar S . D ., Hill I . G ., and several other brethren . The preliminary formalities having been disposed of , the W . M . rehearsed the
ceremony of initiation , Bro . Webb acting as candidate . In due course the W . M . worked the ceremony of raising , Bro . Andrews being can . didate . The first section of tho lecture was worked by Bro . Hewlett , assisted by the brethren . Two new members were unanimously elected . Bro . T . Austin P . M . 933 , through ill health and other circum . stances , hav ing tendered his resignation as Preceptor , it was proposed
by Bro . Grammar , and seconded by Bro . Horsley , that the resignation be accepted with regret . Bro . Horsley dilated , at some length , on the excellent qualities of Bro . Austin , who had so long given his valuable services so well and gracefully in this Lodge . The resignation must , of course , be accepted , but it should be intimated to him in writing how sorry the brethren were in losing his services . Bro . Webb , who was elected Preceptor , while accepting the office , assured the
brethren that he had not sought the honour , and he felt his deficiency , bnt he thought it the duty of every Mason to render every assistance in his power . He would , therefore , endeavour to do snch duties as might devolve upon him to the best of his ability . A vote of thanks was given to Bro . Wharman for his efficient conduct in the chair , which he occupied for the first time in this Lodge . Bro . Maid , well will take the chair at the next meeting .

W ., Tolmie Act . Preceptor , Halford S . D ., Robison J . D ., Fenner Sec , Christopher Tyler , Isaac , Leber , Garbutt , Ross , Cook . Lodge opened in due form , minutes of last meeting confirmed . Lodge opened in 2 nd degree . Bro . Isaac answered the necessary qnestioas , and was entrusted . Lodge was then opened in the 3 rd , when the ceremony
of raising was very ably rehearsed by the W . M ., Bro . Isaac acting as candidate . Lodge resumed to 1 st degree . Bro . Tolmie worked the 3 rd section assisted by the brethren , the 4 th assisted by Bro . Isaac , and the 5 th assisted by the brethren . Bro . Pearcy was duly elected W . M . for the ensuing fortnight . Lodge was then closed , and adjourned . The Fifteen Sections will be worked by Bro . Tolmie on Monday next , the 30 th inst ,, when it is hoped a largo gathering of brethren will take place .

W ., Lees J . W ., Sayer S . D ., Brown J . D ., Rutherford Preceptor , Posener I . G ., Rich , Hollands , & o . The Lodge" was opened and the minutes confirmed . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Brown candidate . Lodge opened in second degree . Bro . Rich answered the
questions leading to the third , and was entrusted . Lodge opened in third . Bro . Rich raised . The Lodge was then closed down to first . It was proposed and seconded that Bro . Wharman be W . M . for the ensuing Tuesday . Arrangements are made that the ceremony of installation shall be worked on the off night in every month at this Lodge , for the instruction of those working for the chair ; the same to commence in the month of May . The Lodge was then closed .

The Lodge then proceeded to the election of W . M . and Treasurer for the ensuing year , and Bro . Alfred Williams was unanimously elected to the office of W . M ., and Bro . M . jewel of the Lodge was voted to Bro . T . W . White , in recognition of his services during the past year . Bro . James Stevens gave notice of motion : " That the sum of Ten "Jnineas be voted by the Lodge to the Royal Masonio Institution for
Boys , the same to be placed on the list and in the name of Bro . Vlesrgy , who will represent the Mark Degree at the ensuing Festival > f that Institution . " Tho Lodge waa closed in harmony , and the brethren adjourned to banquet . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts having been duly honoured , the newly advanced Bro . T . W . Simons vas cordially welcomed , and responded to the good wishes expressed
'owards him by a neat and forcible speech , and , to the great delight > f the brethren , gave an admirable specimen of his professional vocal powers . To the toast of " the Visitor , " Bro . R . W . Brown , waa appended " Success and Prosperity to the Croydon Mark Lodge , No . 198 , the first god-child of the Macdonald , " in reply to which , after Bro . Brown had suitably acknowledged his personal
appreciation of the welcome accorded to him , Bro . George Yaxley , the W . M ., and Bro . J . K . Pitt , tho J . W ., respectively , of the " Croydon " Lodge , expressed their sense of the benefits derived by that Lodge from association with the Macdonald , the assistance rendered to it by Bros . Meggy and Stevens at its consecration , and their conviction that the new Lodgo would be a worthy branch of tho parent , stem . The remaining toasts were honoured , special reference being made in
response to that of " The Officers , " to the past exertions of the Treasurer , Bro . Meggy , and the hope that the same would be re . membered and recognised by liberal additions to his Steward ' s list at next Boys' School Festival . Another most agreeable evening , enlivened by song and social converse , was added to the many pleasant gatherings associated with the " Macdonald , " at whose hospitable board we , in common with other privileged Mark Masons , are ever cordially welcomed .

Industry Lodge , No . 186 . —A very numerous assemblage of brethren and visitors were present on Tuesday , the 24 th inst ., at 2 Westminster-chambers , this being the last meeting previous to the vacation , and also to do honour to the worthy Se ' . xetary , Bro . W . Mann P . M , to present him with a testimonial as a token of the re . spect he is held in , and for the efficient manner he had discharged his
duties for the last ten years . There were present—Bros . A . Black W . M ., W . H . Hook S . W ., D . J . Robinson J . W ., W . Mann P . M . Secre . tary , J . Powell S . D ., R . Allison J . Bowden and Coleman raised . The resignation of a brother was accepted with regret . The Lodge was then closed until September , and the brethren lat down to a very excellent banquet , provided by Bro . Cole . Grace having been sung by Bros . Hook , Smith and Smith jnn ., the W . M . prosed the toast of Her Majesty th «» Queen . He spoke of the kind interest she took in the sad case of the miners in Wales ;
she always takes a great interest in all her subjects , from the highest to the lowest . The national anthem was then sung . The toasts of H . R . H . the M . W . G . M ., the Pro Grand Master , the D . G . M ., and the rest of the grand officers were given . Bro . Dyer I . P . M . proposed the health of the W . M ., who , in reply , said he was only too pleased if he had given them satisfaction . His great aim was to
render any service required of him for the benefit of the Lodge . He was proud to announce the next toast , he might call it the toast of the evening . He called npon the brethren to drink tbe healthof one who had conducted the duties of the Lodge in so able a manner ; he referred to their esteemed Past Master and Secretary Bro . Mann . On behalf of every member he felt a pleasure in presenting the testimonial .
He hoped Bro . Mann might for many years be among them . In addition to a silver tea and coffee service and salver , there was a testimonial on vellum , beautifully designed by the S . W . Bro . T . S . M rtlock P . M . said he would be pleased to say a lew words in addition to those of the W . M ., every word of which ho eudorsed . He had been associated with Bro . Mauu for forty years .
