who had met to hear Bro . Marston rehearse the ceremony of installation . ¦ After preliminaries had been observed , the ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Soper being candidate . The installation ceremony was afterwards worked by tho W . M . in a very able manner . Several brethren were olected members , and it was

proposed , seconded , and carried unanimously that a vote of thanks be recorded , and honorary membership conferred on Bro . La Tolerance Lodge of Instruction , No . 538 . —Tho annual supper of this Lodge was held on Wednesday last , at tho Horse and Groom , Winaley-street , W . Bro . T . Adams P . G . P . Preceptor occupied the chair , and at the conclusion of the sapper proposed the usual toasts . Being obliged to leave early , he deputed his

position to Bro . Davis P . M . Royal Union Lodgo , and under his presidency the brethren remained till a late hour . A most enjoyable evening was spent , most of the brethren immediately answering to the calls of the W . M . for songs , in fact a continuous round of harmony was kept up .

La Tolerance Lodge of Instruction , No . 538 . —Tho annual supper of this Lodge was held on Wednesday last , at tho Horse and Groom , Winaley-street , W . Bro . T . Adams P . G . P . Preceptor occupied the chair , and at the conclusion of the sapper proposed the usual toasts . Being obliged to leave early , he deputed his

position to Bro . Davis P . M . Royal Union Lodgo , and under his presidency the brethren remained till a late hour . A most enjoyable evening was spent , most of the brethren immediately answering to the calls of the W . M . for songs , in fact a continuous round of harmony was kept up .

Eitzroy Lodge No . 589 . —Tho regular monthly meeting of this Lodgo was held on Friday , the 22 nd instant , at the Head Quarters of tho Hon . Dadsvvoll , Parr , Elam and Ratto wero severally raised to the snblimo degreo of M . M . ' s . The Lodge was then closed and adjourned . The Visitors were Bros . Rosenblum 1339 and Scholey 1216 .

Tho resolutions woro ordered to be entered on the minutes . All business onded , the Lodgo was closed in ancient and solemn form .

Buckingham Chapter , No . 591 . —This Chapter held its quarterly meeting on Wednesday , the 27 th March , at tho George Hotel , Aylesbury . Present—Comps . John Williams P .
