Thursday next , 4 th June , is fche last day by which Petitions , with a view to the October Election of the Eoyal Masonic Institution for Girls , must reach the office of that Institution , at Freemasons'Hall . ooo As announced in our last issue the Annual Athletic Sports

of the Boys School will be held on Saturday , 13 th June , at Kempton Park . Particulars of special train arrangements , together with tickets , may be had from Bro . McLeod Secretary of the Institution , at the offices , or from members of the Board of Management .

Bro . E . D . Cummings P . M . and Sec . of the Derby Allcroft Lodge has made arrangements for an entertainment ( Instrumental and Musical ) to be given to the Boys , at Wood Green , on Friday , 12 th June , under fche direction of Brothers Short and

Bradford of the same Lodge . We understand that last year ' s very successful entertainment will be improved upon , if possible , and we should advise our readers to make an early application for tickets of admission , the number of which is very necessarily limited .

Cheshire Masonry is advancing , remarks the " Liverpool Mercury , " and at an early period there will probably be added another Lodge to fche roll of those afc present in existence . New Brighton , which is rapidly increasing in popularity and population , has up to the present time had no place in the

Masonic world ; but steps are being taken towards the formation of a new Lodge at fchat delightful watering place , and there is a probability that the first Master will be a Brother who is prominently identified with the Masonic world , as he has been with municipal matters for a series of years ,
