Reports Of Masonic Meetings.
Provincial Grand Officers were greeted according to their rank . Bro . Harper then informed the brethren that he had a very pleasant duty to perform , and that was to call upon Bros . Barr , Kyrie , and Sandwith for the following lectures , namely , the First and Second Tracing Boards , thc First Sections , and six working periods , which have been delivered in a few lodges of the province as well as 119 during the present season , and have been at all times well
received ; in short , they have been quite a treat to both the senior and junior members of the Craft , and are already being felt to inspire the young minds for a further research into the hidden mysteries . The lectures were ably delivered by the brethren named , and a vote of thanks , to be recorded , was unanimously passed to them for their services , and with " Hearty good wishes "from Lodges 119 , 460 , and 1400 , the lodge was closed in good harmony , and s very agreeable hour was afterwards spent in the banquet hall .

instruction on such an occasion . He felt it was a great honour being chosen Preceptor of the lodge to succeed their late worthy Bro . W . C . Richardson , from whom , and Bro . E . Farwig , S . The chair was then vacated by Bro .
Wade and taken by Bro . Gibson ; the Master Masons were then admitted and saluted the W . M . The lodge was resumed to the Second Degree , the Fellow Crafts were admitted and saluted the W . M . The lodge was resumed to the First Degree , and the E . As . were admitted and saluted the W . M . The VV . M . then invested his oflicers , and the Installing Master gave the charges in a most efficient manner , the W . M . having risen for the first time .
Bros . Pope and Nice , 1624 , were unanimously elected joining members . Bro . VV . C Smith was unanimously elected an honorary member of this lodge , and Bro . Glover was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing week . A vote of thanks was also ordered to be recorded on the minutes to the Installing Master for the very able and efficient manner in which he had discharged the duties of that office . companions retired to the banqueting room below , where the usual banquet was held , and a very agreeable evening spent by the companions of this prosperous , chapter , under the presidency of the First Principal . The toast of " Her Majesty the Queen " was , of course , received with due honour and loyalty , as became a chapter dedicated to that conspicuous virtue of all true Englishmen . The toast of "The First Principal , " coupled with the names of Comps . Stickland and Holmes , who assisted the
Installing Principal Z ., Comp . Bichard , was proposed by that companion , and duly responded to by the companions , who concurred , however , in saying that the name of the First Principal should never been given alone , but always in conjunction with those of the other two Principals , his coequals in Royal Arch Masonry , and whose health Comp . Holmes thereupon proposed . Comp . Bichard responded to the toast of " The Installing Principal" in his usual characteristic style . Other toasts followed in due course .

A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Bro . Tracy for his kindness in attending , and so ably performing the ceremony of the day ; and to Bro . J . P . Lewin , for the able and energetic way he had presided over the lodge for the last two years . At the close of the Iodge business , between 20 and 30 brethren dined at the George Hotel , an excellent repast being provided by the hostess , Mrs . Guiver . On the
removal of the cloth , the usual Mark toasts were given and responded to . In returning thanks for "The Grand Officers , " Bro . Matier , Asst . G . Sec , said the Mark Degree never was in a more flourishing condition than now ; and it was a remarkable fact that more certificates had been issued during the first quarter of this year than in any previous three months since the Degree was established . He appealed to
the brethren to support the Benevolent Fund , as th » y had just incurred a heavy loss owing to the . failure of their bankers . "The Health of the Installing Master" having been heartily drunk , Bro . Tracy returned thanks , and announced that he proposed to reprssent the Province of East Anglia at the Festival of the Mark Benevolent Fund , on which occasion he hoped to have a good list . He urged upon
brethren to support the Fund , which was doing a good work amongst indigent brethren of the Order , and widows and children of Mark Masons . Eventually between seven and eight guineas was subscribed in the room . Several brethren contributed songs , and altogether the whole meeting passed off most successfully . Among the

The toast of " Her Majesty the Queen " was , of course , received with due honour and loyalty , as became a chapter dedicated to that conspicuous virtue of all true Englishmen . The toast of "The First Principal , " coupled with the names of Comps . Stickland and Holmes , who assisted the
Installing Principal Z ., Comp . Bichard , was proposed by that companion , and duly responded to by the companions , who concurred , however , in saying that the name of the First Principal should never been given alone , but always in conjunction with those of the other two Principals , his coequals in Royal Arch Masonry , and whose health Comp . A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Bro . Tracy for his kindness in attending , and so ably performing the ceremony of the day ; and to Bro . J . P . At the close of the Iodge business , between 20 and 30 brethren dined at the George Hotel , an excellent repast being provided by the hostess , Mrs . Guiver . On the
removal of the cloth , the usual Mark toasts were given and responded to . In returning thanks for "The Grand Officers , " Bro . Matier , Asst . G . Sec , said the Mark Degree never was in a more flourishing condition than now ; and it was a remarkable fact that more certificates had been issued during the first quarter of this year than in any previous three months since the Degree was established . He appealed to
the brethren to support the Benevolent Fund , as th » y had just incurred a heavy loss owing to the . failure of their bankers . "The Health of the Installing Master" having been heartily drunk , Bro . Tracy returned thanks , and announced that he proposed to reprssent the Province of East Anglia at the Festival of the Mark Benevolent Fund , on which occasion he hoped to have a good list . He urged upon
brethren to support the Fund , which was doing a good work amongst indigent brethren of the Order , and widows and children of Mark Masons . Eventually between seven and eight guineas was subscribed in the room . Several brethren contributed songs , and altogether the whole meeting passed off most successfully . Among the
