THE COMBINED VORACITY and cunning of big fish was well exemplified at this week ' s re-union of the Piscatorial Society , foregathered at headquarters , Holborn Restaurant , when an instance was given of a large pike which is hooked by expert anglers pretty well every day of its life , but which always , on being hooked , darts into a certain clump of weeds , where the rodsman ' s line is inevitably broken . With enough hooks in his gullet and stomach to stock a small tacklemaker ' s shop , this enterprising fish is still on the feed .
