S ., the ceremony of installation being performed by the retiring VV . M . in a masterly and most

A letter was read from Bro . the Earl of Jersey , thanking the brethren for their present of an illuminated album containing a vote of congratulation , & c , on his appointment to the Governorship of New South Wales . The VV . M . then , in
complimentary terms , presented a handsome Past Master's jewel to Bro . Meech , who suitably acknowledged the gift . A resolution offering the best thanks of the lodge to the I . P . M . for the admirable manner in which he had performed the ceremony of installation was carried by acclamation , and ordered to be duly recorded on the minutes . On the proposition of the VV . M ., Bro . Howard Room , P . G . Sec , was
offered the honorary membership of the lodge , which was cordially accepted by that brother . It was decided to hold a ball in aid of the Charities , the arrangements for which were left in the hands of the VV . M ., Past Masters , and officers of the lodge . After " Hearty good wishes " had been tendered by the
visiting brethren , the lodge was closed , and an adjournment made to the supper table , where an admirable repast had been provided by the worthy hostess . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were proposed by the W . M ., whose conduct in the chair and whose work in the lodge called forth many encomiums from the visiting brethren and others .
An admirable programme of music under the direction of Bro . W . C . Hall , P . M ., Organist , added much to the enjoyment of the meeting , which was one of the most successful ever held under the banner of the Jersey Lodge .

in that and other provinces , and to the efforts to aid the Masonic Charities , Bro . the Dean of York making an eloquent spcechin returning thanks for "Grand Lodge .
