"OUR BOYS . " On Friday evening , the 17 th inst ., " Our Boys " were fatoured with a very interesting entertainment , which took the form of a lecture delivered by Bro . H . Banks , J . W . ofthe Citadel Lodge , No . 1897 . The lecture svas one of a series got up by the Executive with the object of breaking the monotony of the svinter evenings .
The subject was a " Trip to Chicago , " and the masterly manner in which the lecturer treated it vividl y brought before us the magnificent sights which are the pride of our Transatlantic brethren . The lecture was illustrated by a splendid lantern , and the slides were such as evoked the enthusiastic admiration , not only of the boys , but also of the numerous brethren
and friends present . Starting from Southampton , after surveying the elegant and luxurious accommodation provided on the " Liner , " sve crossed the briny ocean svithout experiencing the pangs of mal-de-mer , and landed in Nesv York . Proceeding vifi Philadelphia , our . guide shosved us how to " negociate distance " by directing our attention to the chief points of interest
en-route to Chicago . Arrived at the " World ' s Fair , " Bro . Banks proved to be an admirable cicerone through the various departments , and sve were specially charmed wilh the number and excellence of the English and Colonial exhibits . Then sve steamed across the great lakes to where " Niagara stuns with thundering
sound . " Notwithstanding the leaf y June-time , there was an accommodating frost , svhich rendereel this wondrous scene still more imposing in its rugged majesty . We returned to New York by a most romantic route , svith our minds both delighted and enriched .

Carus , and seconded b y Bro . Dr . E . M . Lott , P . G . Org ., and has filled all the principal offices . Our brother ' s ambition is to make the ceremonies as perfect as possible , and from what sve have seen of his svorking , think that he will have no difficulty in attaining his object .
