Ives ( Cornsvall ) , Cheltenham , Manchester , York , Newport ( Mon . ) , Bradford , Hexham , Hatfield , Whitby , East Dereham , Bristol , Hong Kong , Belgium , Calcutta , Reading , France , Switzerland , Liverpool , Fleetsvood . Lahore ,

and Uruguay . In the course of a five-and-a-half hours ' sitting 51 of these svere relieved with a total sum of £ 1210 . Four cases svere adjourned , three dismissed , and in one case the petitioner had died since the presentation of petition . One case svas recommended to Grand Lodge for . £ 75 , nine were recommended to the Grand Master for . £ 40 each , and 10 for ^ 30 each . There were 18 grants of £ 20 each , one for £ 15 , 10 for . £ 10 each , and two for ^ 5 each .

"OUR BOYS . " On Friday evening , the 17 th inst ., " Our Boys " were fatoured with a very interesting entertainment , which took the form of a lecture delivered by Bro . H . Banks , J . W . ofthe Citadel Lodge , No . 1897 . The lecture svas one of a series got up by the Executive with the object of breaking the monotony of the svinter evenings .

The subject was a " Trip to Chicago , " and the masterly manner in which the lecturer treated it vividl y brought before us the magnificent sights which are the pride of our Transatlantic brethren . The lecture was illustrated by a splendid lantern , and the slides were such as evoked the enthusiastic admiration , not only of the boys , but also of the numerous brethren

and friends present . Starting from Southampton , after surveying the elegant and luxurious accommodation provided on the " Liner , " sve crossed the briny ocean svithout experiencing the pangs of mal-de-mer , and landed in Nesv York . Proceeding vifi Philadelphia , our . guide shosved us how to " negociate distance " by directing our attention to the chief points of interest

en-route to Chicago . Arrived at the " World ' s Fair , " Bro . Banks proved to be an admirable cicerone through the various departments , and sve were specially charmed wilh the number and excellence of the English and Colonial exhibits . Then sve steamed across the great lakes to where " Niagara stuns with thundering

sound . " Notwithstanding the leaf y June-time , there was an accommodating frost , svhich rendereel this wondrous scene still more imposing in its rugged majesty . We returned to New York by a most romantic route , svith our minds both delighted and enriched .

The lecture was agreeably varied by that delicious ditty of Molloy ' s— " The Three Beggars , " rendered in artistic manner by Mrs . Banks , and accompanied by appropriate slides , Bro . Wood presiding at the piano . In a fesv racy remarks , Bro . GEO . EVERETT proposed

a vote of thanks to the lecturer , which was accorded by the boys in their heartiest style . Bro . EVERETT also , on behalf of the Board of Management , thanked Bro . G . R . Langley for having been instrumental in bringing about so delightful an entertainment .

bust will be on a handsome marble p illar , svith an inscription plate— " Presented by the Grand Lodge of Scotland to Lad y Blythswood . Nov ., 1893 . " A duplicate of the bust , which is by W . Grant Stevenson , A . R . S . A ., will be placed in the Fieemasons' Hall .
