C hipchase and Gurncy AA'cre raised to the third degree ; Bros . Charles Sivan aud James Francis Wallace ivere admitted as joining members ; and tivo gentlemen AA-cro proposed ibr initiation . Bro . Goodchild , ivho presided for tho first time , went through the duties of the chair most admirably . The Lodge having ahvays an early and good attendance of Past Masters , there is nothing wanting in tho working . Bros . James Laiv Cutbbertson was passed to the second , and Bros . James John Farnham . and Robert Brabham , raised to the third degree , both of which ceremonies wore extremely Avell ivorked by Bro . Watts , AA'I IO afterwards installed his successor , Bro . James Robinson , in . a manner Avhich showed that his working capabilities were of the highest order . The following were the ollicers appointed : —Bros , Laughton , S . W . ; Goldsboro , J . AV . ; Dyer , S . D . ; Swan , J . D . ; Spalding , I . G . ; E .
Spoouer , Sec . The Brethren of the Ludge , to evince their appreciation of the zeal and ability of Bro . Watts , as Avell as his kind and courteous demeanour shoivn toAvards them during his year of ollice , voted him a Past Master ' s jeivel . Tho visitors present were Bros . Burton , Watson , Underwood , Galli , Goring , Perriman , Mitchell , Cottrell , aud Sheen . In this "Lodge there appeared to be a praiseivorthy desire to give support to the Alasonic charities , a sum of money having been voted from its funds toAvards the Aged Freemasons' and Widows' Fund , in addition to annual subscriptions to the other charities . Sigisniund Rosenthal was duly initiated into the order ; Bro . Routlingo passed to the second degree ; and Bros . Spyr , Forster , Ibaeb , and Weil , raised as Al . Ms . The Brethren afterwards adjoined to the festive boards , there being several visitors present , including Bros , tlouwood , ( P . M . No . 7 . ) J . G . D . ; Adlard , P . M . No . 7 , P . Prov . G .
