to four Entered Apprentices , Bros . Lefeuvre , Le Qvox , Galliehau , and Drayton , receiving some assistance from . Bro . Schmitt ,, P . M ., who afterwards gave tbe explanation of the second degree by the usual illustrations , with the aid of the tracingboard . The Orator , Bro . Ilatier , gave an able extempore exposition of the leading principles of Freemasonry , and especially of tho philosophical tendency of the symbols of this degree . During the evening at least sixty brethren were present , including several gentlemen connected with the newspaper press of the island ,
