Curtis , Bart ., for the constitution of the Lodge , on or before the next stated Lodge night . Bro . Charles Ewens Deacon , P . Prov . G . M ., was elected a joining member . Proceeding to the consideration of the by-laws , ifc was resolved that no brother should be eligible to be elected or to- continue a member unless be ivas at the same time a subscribing member of one of the other local Lodges . It ivas further resolved on the proposition of the TV . M ., seconded by Bro . Dr . Clark , P . M ., that every Brother elected to the office of Master should pledge himself to become a steward of one of the Masonic Charities , and the TV . M . agreed to do himself . One of tho visitors was Bro . Gaugain , P . M ., an eminent artist .

The installing Master inquired if the brethren approved ofthe officers nominated to preside over them , and this being signified hi due form , an oration , Avritten for tho occasion , was delivered by Bro . Hyde Pullen , who officiated as Grand Chaplain , in a very impressive manner , and was listened to ivith marked attention .
The Loclge was next consecrated with the accustomed ceremonies . The new Master was then examined , and found to bo ivell skilled in our noble -science , and dul y instructed in ' tho mysteries of tho Craft ; and being vouched for as an installed Master , was then ¦ regularl y inducted into tbe chair , and alter receiving clue honours aucl making his acknowledgments , proceeded to appoint and invest his officers as follow : —Bros .
