P ., Provincial Grand Master , and there was a large assembly of the Freemasons of Devon and Cornwall . At the bauc | iiot which followed , the Solicitor-General ( Bro . Sir Edward Clarke , M . P . ) , was a visitor , and in proposing a toast he spoke of his having passed the chair of a London Loduc
llfteen years ago , and expressed a hope that the high principles of Freemasonry would ever guide his conduct both in public and private life . The day ' s proceedings concluded with a ball , at which about 200 persons were present . Dancing was led off to the music of members of the Royal Marine band , under Sergeant Lidiard , by the P . G . M . ( Lord Ebrington ) , Sir Edward Clarke , and Major Davie ( P . G . Secretary ) .

P . ) , was a visitor , and in proposing a toast he spoke of his having passed the chair of a London Loduc
llfteen years ago , and expressed a hope that the high principles of Freemasonry would ever guide his conduct both in public and private life .
