fche ceremony Bro . Love sang the anthem , " Be thou faithful unto death" ( " Elijah " ) in finished style . Tbe Lodge having been closed , the brethren adjourned to the banqueting-room , where a recherche banquet was served by Bro . Bond . Bro . CoDke presided , and the usual Loyal and Masonio toasts were honoured , the proceedings being interspersed with a capital programme of vocal music .

Seaborn Williams J . S . On the motion of Bro . J . Lloyd Griffith , seconded by Bro . Williams , ifc waa decided to contribute 25 guineas towards the fund for procuring a Life Presentation for the Province of North Wales in connection with the Girls' Masonic Iustitnti > ti . The Deputy Provincial Grand Master thanked tho members of the Lodge

for their munificence , and expressed a hope that the Province of North Wales would not be backward in contributing the amount required to secure a Life Presentation to that commendable Charity . It was

unanimously decided to present Bro . Dr . 0 . T . Will ams with a P . M . 's jewel , in recognition of his services to the Lodge during the past year . The Lodge having been closed , the brethren banqueted at the Prince of Wales ( L . and N . W . R . Co . ) Hotol .

THE members celebrated the Festival of St . John , on the 26 th ult ., the event being made special by the presence of Bro . Col . FoB . er Gough D . P . G . M . Meeting at 2 45 , at the Mechanics' Institute , the installation of Bro . W . E . Challinor was proceeded with by Bro . W . Davenport , after whioh the Worshipful Master appointed

his Officers , as follow : —Davenport I . P . M ., Burton S . W ., Flanagan J . W ., Ward Chaplain , Gibson Treasurer , Davenport Secretary , Clemesba S . D ., Phillips J . D ., Allen D . C , Wardle Organist , Gailey I . G ., Milner Steward , Gaunt Tyler . The brethren then adjourned

to the Red Lion Hotel , and partook of a banquet , prepared and served in Bro . Swift ' s best style . The after proceedings included the usual Loyal and Craft toasts , which were duly proposed and respi nded to in a series of appropriate speeches . A number of capital sings enlivened aud diversified a very pleasant evening .

prized his P . M . 's jewel , ho valued much more the one presented to him by the initiates during hi . year of office as W . M ., but both had been eclipsed by tho beautiful jewel now presented . He felt how little he deserved it , but hoped to merit it by future service to his Lodge .
