Fisher announced the result of the election for the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls , whioh had taken place that afternoon . He was much gratified at being able to state that , thanks to the support he had met with from the Masons of the West of

London , he had been successful iu securing tho return of their candi . date A . F . Hughes . In announcing this result , he could also state that the brethren mig ht be congratulated on the fact that no votes had been wasted . In Germany there is a strong movement to exclude Jews from becoming Freemasons . We learn that there are no less that sixty anti-Semitic Lodges . The Crown Prince , however , who is well known to be an enthusiastic Mason , holds the anti-Semitic movement to be a disgrace to our time , and has several times expressed himself to this effect in his Lodge . —Jewish World .

The Annual Cat Show at the Crystal Palace , whioh will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday next , will be the largest exhibition of cats ever held ; and as , since the institution of these interesting shows , more attention has been paid year by year to the proper treatment and improvement in breed of this most domestic of domestic animals ,

the collection will naturally be far in advance of its predecessors in point of quality . Nearly four hundred entries have been received , comprising every variety of long-haired and short-haired cat , and displaying all the combinations of colour and marking which have yet been attained .

The Annual Cat Show at the Crystal Palace , whioh will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday next , will be the largest exhibition of cats ever held ; and as , since the institution of these interesting shows , more attention has been paid year by year to the proper treatment and improvement in breed of this most domestic of domestic animals ,
