PASQUIER , in his Hisioire des Seigneurs de Scissome , gives an account of two brothers who wonderfully resembled each other . It is the most singular and curious we ever met with ; for which reason we have been induced to give it a place here : ' Nicolas and Claude Roussi , twin brothers , were born on the 7 th of April , 1548 ; they resembled each other so exactly , that their nurses . were obliged to put them on different coloured bracelets for a
distinguishing mark . In proportion as they grew up , their resemblance continued in the same perfection ; their countenances , sizes , and even the attitude of their bodies , were of such strict conformity , that the most trifling difference was not discernible .. Their gestures , tone of voice , method of acting , dispositions , and inclinations , tallied with each other in the most wonderful equability ; insomuch , that when they
were dressed alike , not even their father could discern any difference between them .
