At twelve o ' clock the procession , preceded by a band of music , with the usual banners and insignia of the order , marched from the Freemasons ' Hall , in Bugle-street , along the Quay , up High-street , to All Saints ' Church , ivhere an excellent and appropriate discourse was delivered by the Prov . G . Chaplain , the Rev . Brother ISDELL . P . G . Org . Brother CHARD , MUS . Dr ., presided at the organand a scientific
, gave display of his taste and skill on that instrument . A Masonic anthem , composed by him expressly for the occasion , was sung with the most impressive effect b y Messrs . Bishop , Masters , and Perrier , from Winchester , and generally admired for the beauty and simplicity of the composition . The following passages from the Old Testament were appropriately selected : —
