This being the period fixed for the appointment of the Board of General Purposes , a list of the names of the several Masters and Past Masters put in nomination was printed and delivered to the members of the G . L . upon then- entrance into the Hall , and eight Brethren having been appointed , four by the M . AV . the G . M ., and four bthe G . L . they collected the balloting listsand afterwards
y , , retired , for the purpose of casting up , and ascertaining the numbers for the respective candidates . The Brethren having performed their duties , now returned , and announced the result of the ballot .
