" In front of the gallery was displayed an ingenious device , containing in the centre , " AVe meet on the Level , and j . art on the Square , " and on either side of the above " Lux e Tenebris" and " Vide , Audi , Tace . Hay ; and the gallery was crowded with spectators . At one o ' clock the party retired to the sujiper-room , where an elegant rejiast was provided , comprising every delicacy of the season .
