I ' reemasonry . Ihe lecture bore evidences of deep Masonic research and study , and proved most acceptable to the brethren who had the good fortune to listen to it , and to those who are personally acquainted with Bro . Cook it is almost needless to add that he performed his task in a most pleasing and admirable manner . Bro . Capt . Croisdale , P . AL , and P . P . G . S . B ., at the
conclusion of the lecture proposed that a vote of thanks should be awarded to the W . M . for the trul y Masonic treat he had given them , and in the course of his observations said that Masonically it would be difficult to imagine anything more interesting and instructive than the lecture they had just listened to with so much pleasure . It was a new feature in connection with the Aldershot Lodges , and
one which 111 his opinion was well worthy of emulation , inasmuch as it would have a tendency to make their lodge meetings peculiarly interesting , and even valuable , to the Masonic student and all those who desired to increase their Alasonic knowledge and acquire correct information
respecting the institution they had so solemnly engaged themselves to support . This proposition having been seconded by Bro . Colonel Richardson , P . M ., and P . P . G . S . B ., was carried with enthusiasm . Bro . Dr . Grier was elected to represent the lodge at the Provincial Grand Lodge Committees during the ensuing
year . Bro . Capt . Croisdale then announced to the lodge that their Secretary , Bro . Major Douglas , P . AL and P . P . G . S . said he would willingly undertake any oflice in the lodge , if in doing so he contributed toits success . He did not expect however the brethren would have asked him for a second time to fill the chair . However , circumstances over whicli they had no control had compelled them to depart from the usual course , and he had consented to once more become their YV . be for the benefit of the lodge , and he had no doubt but he would receive the cordial and unanimous support of the brethren . " The Visiting Brethren " was responded to by Bros . J . E . The two candidates for passing were unavoidably absent , and the YVorshiplul Alaster said he would therefore embrace the opportunity of occupying a portion of their time , he trusted profitably , in reading a lecture on the " History of
I ' reemasonry .
AL and P . P . G . S . B ., had becn recently advanced to higher Provincial honours at the recent Provincial Grand Chapter meeting , having been appointed P . G . P . S ., and the announcement was
received with universal satisfaction , and Bro . Douglas was greeted and congratulated accordingly . After the transaction of other routine business the lodge was closed about nine p . m ., and the brethren separated after spending a most enjoyable Masonic evening .
