THE brethren of West Lancashire are availing themselves of the opportunity to evince their sympathy with a work so much in harmony with the traditions of the Craft , which , from time immemorial , has been associated
with the erection of beautiful buildings to the honour and glory of the World ' s Great Architect ; and have offered to provide within the next live years funds for the building of the Chapter House , to be erected to the glory of God and in
memory of the late Earl of Lathom , G . C . B . ( Pro Grand Master of England ) , a nobleman who was honoured by his Queen , trusted by his country , and beloved by the brethren over whom he ruled , wisely and well , for upwards of a
quarter of a century . The fund is making very good progress , over ^ 4 , 000 having been paid into the bank , and over £ 7 , 000 promised .
