WILLIAM Sueur , of Myland , Colchester , who is now in his 7 » th year . Bro . Suva * was formerly ensured in tbe Circulation Department of tbe Post Office , but , owing to severe attacks of neuralgia in the h ad , and defective vision , consequent upon cataract , he was compelled to resign his position when at the age of 51 years . His only permanent income since that time has been a pension oi ' JEH a year , to which he was entitled on account of his service , and he has bad to encroach continually upon his suvii gs , till they are now quite exhausted . Consequently he cannot possibly provide for the boy ' s education , as he did for his children by his first marriage , and it will be a great comfort to him in his now declining days to see tbe lad elected into the Institution , When in the full possession of health , Bro . Snuity was a most active Mason . Ho was initiated in the Saint John ' s Lodge , Hnmpstead , No . 106 ( now 1 H 7 ) iu 131 S , and , alter passing through the intermediate offices , eventually became W . M . When , in 1 SG 1 , the state of his health compelled him to remove from the District , he tendered his resignation , and the brethren at once elected him an honorary member , in recognition of bis valuable services to his mother Lodge . Bro . Siii-KV shortly afterwards joined the Wellington Lodge , No . 518 , as a , country member ; and became n member of the Angel Lodge , Colchester , No . 51 , in ItiliS ; and he is still a subscribinirmember . to both these Lodges . He was exalted in the Domatic Chapter , No . 177 , in In 52 , and was elected to tho Third Chair , but tbe continued unsatisfactory statu of his health compelled him to resign . He was also one of the founders of tho Mou- > t Lebanon Chapter , No . 73 . When the present applicant was a child in arms , Bro . SHUHY ' position enabled him to make himself , wife , nnd child , Life Subscribers of the Boy ' s Institution , not thinking at the time that ho should ever be compelled to avail himself of its benefits , and he has , besides this , done all in his power to excite in others an interest in tho Masonic Charities . AT Balmoral the Lord Chancellor has succeeded Mr . Cross as Minister in attendance on Her Majesty , who , with the Princess Beatrice , takes her usual exercise , one day driving over to see the Prince and Princess of Wales , at Abergeldie , another walking or driving in other directions . On Wednesday Prince Leopold drove over to

seethe Princess of Wales , and the same day the Prince of Wales honoured Colonel Parquharson with a special visit to Invercauld , where a large party were assembled to join his Royal Hi ghness on a grand deer drive . The result of the day ' s sport was that five stags rolled dead under the fire of

the party . The Duke of Edinburgh , in command of H . M . S . Snlfan , reached Malta the same day , and the Duke of Connaught reached Monaghan last Friday , on a visit to Lord Rossmore , at Rossmore Castle . His Royal Highness was received at Monaghan Station by his host

and Captain Candy , and having driven to the Castle , returned to the town in order to inaugurate a splendid fountain , erected to the memory of the late Lord Rossmore . There was a large gathering of people to witness the

ceremony , and when it Avas over , the Duke was entertained at a dejeuner in the Court House . In the evening there Avas a grand display of fireAvorks , and a ball at Rossmore Castle .

Last Friday a Cabinet Council was hold at the Prime Minister ' s official residence in Downing Stivet . Ministers sab for about two hours , and then dispciMid , the First Lord of the Admiralt y to join the other members of his Board on their annual tour of inspection , the Earl of Carnavon going to Highclere Castle , Mr .
