The Master then gracefully requested the doctor to accept the Chair , and , to gratify the assembled Brethren , to preside for the remainder of the evening ; a request that was immediately complied with , and the " Philosopher of Masonry , " for the
first time , presided over the largest meeting of practical Masons in London ever associated in a private Lodge . The Lodge-room presented a most animated appearance .
