LINCOLNSHIRE .

TJIHE annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge took _ l _ place at Boston on Thursday , 7 th inst ., and was one of the largest and most successful gatherings of the kind held for many years . The weather , with the exception of an occasional shower , was of the pleasantest , and Boston being central to most parts of the county and easy of access , there was a record attendance , 351 Brethren being present . The

meeting was held in the Corn Exchange , the appearance of which had been completely transformed , the walls being covered with bright flags and with the banners of the 25 Lodges of the Province . The Corn Exchange yard was covered with canvas , and made a convenient robing and refreshment room for the members of the Craft , the Provincial Grand Officers being accommodated in one of the

ante rooms of the Exchange and in the School of Art . The arrangements for the reception of Provincial Grand Lodge were satisfactorily carried out by a joint Committee appointed ¦ by the Harmony and Franklin Lodges , but special praise is due to Bro . C . Lucas and Bro . H . Shepherd for the invaluable assistance they rendered in bringing the organisation to a successful termination .

The Brethren assembled under their respective banners at one o ' clock , and shortly afterwards the Prov . Grand Master , the Deputy , and the other Officers entered and opened the Lodge . The Rt . submitted the returns of the Lodges , and the Charity Stewards Bros . R . F . Moresby-White , C . E . Bonner , W . Mortimer and T . C . Moss reported on the Yarborough Fund . A resolution passed at the last meeting of the Benevolent Committee , voting fifty guineas on behalf of the Lodges in South Africa , was confirmed .
